We don't strap in scissor lifts where I work because the manufacturer says not to. But every lift is different. Generally if the wheels are under the frames the manufacturer says no go on strapping to it. If they're mounted outside the frame, they recommend it.

I never knew that. Learn something every day.

I just have some issues with heights and prefer to tie off to the things that don't move.

I'm the same way. We dont have to strap to the lifts but once I'm where I'm going, I strap to a beam or something else rigid.

That's how my old renter got hurt at work in the 80's. Lift collapsed down with him strapped into it and blew out his back. Now he "walks" with a computer mounted inside of him that sends electrical signals to his spine and he has a battery pack in a fanny pack outside of him.

prob has a crane on the other side for it we can't see. First time I saw one of those crane things was at a Toyota show years ago bolted onto a new FJ. I was :roflmao:
