Yeah, I had it worse than Broker which is impressive considering mine sits higher. No worries, Bianca has been bugging me to remove the carpet since I bought the truck. :D

What do you need to do to that CBI bumper to make it work?

Sam if you want to try this weekend and work on getting the bumper on I'm game to help, just need to get one more person to help hold it in place. I just need some help in return to get my skids put on.

Need to cut the braces, mount it and re-weld it. It is too physically heavy to do myself (and too high for the jack to hold it), so I am looking for a few strong backs. Probably just going to take it to Rob and Todd and get some expert help. I am planning on doing it DEC 4 weekend if they are available. Otherwise, cut it myself and install it and look to patch it up at a later date.

What kind of help do you need on the skids, I thought you already had them on? I am camping at Lost Maples SP this weekend, yearly Thanksgiving trip so that won't work.. Thanks for the offer! How about a wrench meet early December?

Mainly hold up in place to mount. By the looks of it I may need to grind on my slider mounts to clear the brackety of the skids. So maybe help holding in place to mark for some trimming. I'm going to try and work on it some this weekend. But I also need to drop the trans back in the lemons car this weekend sometime as well.

You can install skids with a floor jack. I've done it many times.

I am out of town this weekend Broker, but I can help next weekend if it works for you.

Rear bumpers too. Just have to have something to stack on top of the jack.

I've done plenty of 3 man jobs by myself.

remember that this bumper is not a "perfect" bolt on, it shrank with the welding. Ah heck, maybe I will try it today... who knows.

yeah, I've done both my bumpers by myself. Just have to be creative.

Use a ratchet strap to afix the 2x4 to the jack. Use jackstands to keep it from tipping too far left or right.

Ok, Bumper is Done!

Took about 4 hours, we had to cut it with a torch. Pounded on the truck and then put the bolts in before spot welding it. Took it back off welded it, and reinstalled it... Pictures below.

All cut up, we forced it on like this and got things to line up. Todd spot welded it on the truck before finalizing it.

Check out the super clean work after it was cut and welded back together!

Had to cut the Muffler for the bumper, and it needed to be done anyway..
