Watch the 60 Minutes piece... they provide some incite as to how these strains get created. Those markets are shitholes and should be banned... it's shit. We eat shit from slaughterhouses, and from fresh fish markets.. shit that lives with each other. But those places are a collection of animals who are not normally around each other and don't have immunity to the others "shit".. not a virologist but it makes sense. My co-worker's wife is a PhD virologist, runs a lab for the state. He is not freaking out. People are just dumb. According to 60 Minutes piece it may kill 45-60 million people worldwide (sky is falling).. but fuck.. we can thin the herd a little.

I went to walmart today to get a cheap extension cord so I can put a TV in my office and get some scotchguard for a jacket that I have that is no longer waterproof.
A-holes are grabbing up Scotchguard. WTF?!?!? I saw one lonely dented can pushed behind whatever was next to it.
I also noticed that some A-hole went around and took the top off almost all of the remaining scrubbing bubbles and lysol bottles. So you could buy it, but no way to atomize the stuff when it comes out of the can. We have reached a new low.
Oh, and the neighboring Sam's Club lot was PACKED OUT like it was Christmas. Twas surprisingly well stocked. Yes, I bought paper towels....because we were actually out of paper towels. I did not buy any TP though...even though they had plenty.

My neighbor went to Costco and said he was in and out in 15 minutes! Said it wasn't bad... yesterday I drove by the place and it was PACKED!

I filled up both our 15k gal tank (diesel/unleaded) on Thursday, so I'm good to go. I guess if the stations start shutting down I'll just let my wife car pool with me

Meh.... It was freaking beautiful this weekend. Idiots "caught" glimpses of people fueling up for lawn care most likely or the unprepared panicking as they like to do. Just about every leaf blower and lawn mower could be heard in my hood this weekend.
Any real 'crazy' pepper already has all the stuff they need. I had my gas before 7am Saturday and was the only person there.
1/3 of my workers called out today. I get it, but at some point I'm going to stop going crazy to keep these guys working if they aren't going to show up. Now our secretary is loosing her shit because some of the guys called out and she had contact with them last week. "I can't take this home" is yelled at me when I would not tell her my guys medical issues (I can't by law). I told her that no one can take it home and to go talk to the boss because I can't release confidential medical conversations had w/my guys - that's going to be interesting. She's loopy anyway.... guys in our shop right now didn't pass the #19 pre-screening questionnaires for my job this past Saturday. Got a guy in my shop right now who has a GF that's been home sick the past week + and everyone knows about that openly.
Common sense is already lacking and any sort of it that was hanging on by a thread is being replaced with panic and fear.

I almost bought one of those metal 5 gallon gas cans at Harbor Freight yesterday. I've been wanting to get one since my normal 5 gal can has one of those EPA fillers that no longer stops gas from splashing out. My "reasoning" being for trail rides, but I have yet to go on a trail ride where I actually needed extra fuel. I really just need to get a new filler for my existing can.
I did pick up one of their Bauer dual action polishers though. Oh crap. that should have probably been in the Tools thread.

You should def NOT use one of these on a gas can to actually make it a functional gas can.
