I am not sure but it's 1200-1300 here in DFW. If I had to guess I would say 1800-2000 but I could be wrong.

Well some quick Googling showed Dallas as 430 above sea level and Clayton Lake as 665 above sea level

The trail is in the "mountains" but I don't know if I would call them mountains. I love towele.

It looks like I am off on the elevation around here but I was close for the k trail. Clayton lake is at the bottom of the mountains. Check out the link in my post just a few min ago.

Yeah I knew that the trail was in the "mountains" but figured it would be faster to find the elevation of the lake.

As far as the beer we need to make very sure we get it here in Texas to avoid that crappy 3.2 garbage.

Well that just can't be had...I'll be sure to have at minimum one cooler full! I may have a friend riding shotgun with me, but don't worry, she can drink with the best of em. She won't know until the beginning of June if she'll be able to make it though.

First post updated with the list of people that have expressed interest in trying to make it. I have not had a chance to do anymore searching about the trail or the land use permit but I should have a chance on my lunch break this week.

We are going to have to reschedule this. I just realized I planned it for Father's Day weekend. I could maybe do the weekend before but I have hopes of my bumper being here and putting it on then. I could maybe do the last weekend of the month but I might be helping out with a fishing trip for soldiers home on leave. If anyone has some weekend suggestions please chime in.

I hear ya on that but this is my first Father's Day and I was looking forward to spending some time with my son and dad. I think I am going to take him on his first fishing trip to a local pond for some perch action.
