Anyone have some info on this area? I am looking to do a 4 day trip up there in March. The current plan is to be a trail bum most of the days. Maybe do a little hiking, grab a few meals in Broken Bow and check out that brewery, and enjoy a quick trip to someplace nice.

That's Mr Asshole to you
Never explored that area. Really just in the park and then east of Three Stick monument.

Haven’t gone off roading up there but did rent a cabin just north of broken bow with the family. Cool area, some good breweries, bars, there’s a distillery too, didn’t get to make it in there.

Currently looks like I found a couple of camp site options and booked zip lining for Saturday. The rest will be a lunch at one of the breweries and some trail riding. A nice weekend getting away.

should be a good time. We went in January, it was pretty friggin cold. To cold for the wife, just ended up relaxing in the cabin most of the weekend. Which is fine in and of itself.

Trip went pretty good even though the weather was all over the place. The forest roads on the lake side were my favorite area to drive around even though there is not a big network of roads. The west side of the forest has a lot of promise but is going to take a few more trips to really figure out. The main roads are everything but paved and a decent number of the side roads do not exist anymore. But I did find some camping spots that I tagged in Gia for future use.

The trails were mostly okay with a few areas that I had to use 4wd to keep from doing damage to the trail forcing it with 2wd. But if the area just got heavy rain I would be caution on 50900 and the off shoots without 4wd and/or a winch.

Ouachita FR 50900 time lapse video - we camped at the end of this trail the first night (ended up being the only night) We did find a few side trails off of this that are FR marked trails but not on any map I have found. I plan to go back and spend a long weekend exploring this area more; lots of side trails and hidden camping spots.

At this spot we had water on three sides with the drop off so sharp you only saw water all the way around until you walked up to the edge of the top. Great site and will camp here again.
