There's a way to do it. A series of button pushes, dash lights, and stuff

Well I don't really have to worry about it right now it's parked as enough fluid has left the unit for it slip like crazy and I am waiting on a new pan to get delivered, I just hop I don't open it up and find the sump has been crushed. At that point I would be calling advanced adapters to get the stuff to swap in a 4L60 and not have to worry about this stupid sealed trans thing again and actually be able to get parts for the thing locally.

Rob, paging rob, do you know if your code puller can read trans temp? Gonna need to figure out how to read the temp of the trans to refill it once the new pan gets here.

I've used it on my truck and it would only read codes and erase check engine light. I tried running a test with it I it wouldn't work.

Yeah Toyota hasn't released the tranny codes for those yet.

Need to build some skids anyone have any ideas? Gonna go pick up some 3/16 plate sometime this week and another 10lb spool for the welder. Need some ideas for mounting and design.

Anyone with budbuilt skids, how do they mount to the frame? Are there nuts welded into the cross members from the factory that they use or what I don't really see how I'm going to mount these things if I can't reach on top of the cross member to hold a nut with a wrench being that the skid will be covering the only access area.

I know the gas skid is held on with the gas tank straps and a cross member.

Looking to ditch my heavy assed 1/4" skids that I built. Gonna do some lighter 1/8" skids skinned with UHMW, Question is where can I buy UHMW, would prefer locally as I need a significant amount and don't really want to ship the stuff. So who should I start looking up in the phone book for sources for this stuff kinda stumped as to who to call on this one.

Interesting idea. You seen anyone else do it already?

Yup, but only on full size solid axle rigs, just as strong and much lighter, looking to shave nearly 150lbs off the current weight. But I have to find a supplier first I don't really even know who to look for.

Cant get I locally going to order from mcmaster Carr. Also going to use hdpe rather than uhmw simply for cost and the specs are similar enough I think it won be an issue.
