High humidity this morning and I noticed some light/mist rain headed our way, so I was able to burn off the burn pit this morning.
After this burns out, I’m closing the pit, if anything/one is missing, there is nothing there to find.

I will be doing the same pretty soon, one more cut in the main yard with the mulching blades, then I’m gonna put the sand blades back on and change oil and filters.

We had a Bald Eagle fly over, less than 100ft from us, my son said there was something dead on the property behind us and he said he saw some buzzarads and Caracara land back there earlier.
After a few hours of fill, packing down, leveling out on the tractor, No more burn pit, maybe there is a time capsule buried or maybe some poly lowers are hidden, who knows.
Used the spreader for Rye grass, hopefully it will germinate, I may set up a sprinkler tomorrow for a bit, having something there is better for erosion control, incase we ever do get a real downpour
I figured the birds will probably eat about half the seeds.
I didn’t bother getting out the seed roller, I just raked it out by hand since it’s less than 2,000sq ft.
The Laundry Fairy found this guy out in the yard, pretty bad ass lookin moth.

I burned off all the piled up leaf's and dead branches I had piled up in my ditch earlier and started burning off my fence row. It was a nice day for it.

yes it was, my neighbor(fireman) had a huge fire going at his place, I swear firefighters are pyromaniacs!!,
not all my trees have started to bloom yet, not sure if I will have any more dead trees, but my garden is going to be in that same area, guess I’ll have to dig another hole elsewhere if that happens.

Added another 5 tons of stone to the driveway and put stone in the basement window wells, previously just full of dirt and leaves

I fell bad after seeing that for referring him, but part of me doesn't feel bad because he never took it back and the guy warranties his work. I moved my bumper this weekend to wash my deck and it still looks new after many years of sitting outside stationary

I thought it was a friends...then I saw his other post in the "what have you done to someone elses ride" thread and saw the blue one in the shop.
Isn't there a law of abandonment? I'm thinking you/he could claim ownership of it by now and sell it for parts. If that happens, ship me his rear bumper. I'll give you $20

I can turn down my Honda PW to as low as needed for just about any material. After pressure washing 2x6 boards for decades down @ my moms marina Ive learned a ton so I know for a fact "I" could never match the quality and finish if I drove down that road. The only way I'd PW wood this old at my own house is with one of those commercial round rotating spray heads and I'm not spending that kind of cash for this small of a task ~ Not taking a risk damaging my boards so then I spend 4x the amount of time sanding. Not sure if you noticed by now, but if I'm going to do something - Ill do it 99% right or not at all. This time IMHO it's just best to roll up your sleeves and put some 'back bone' into the work. With the docks and other peoples decks that they don't care about ~ I put in the same level of care ~ so sure I'd PW them all day, but this is "my" deck and I'm OCD so if I'm going to do it I want to be able to walk barefoot w/o getting lit up with splinters or sanding for days
In the end all that matters is PT wood decks blow and only stupied cheap people put them in ~ Save up and cry once buy once with synthetic boards.
I also wanted a good work out in the sun this weekend to keep my mind off things so it was perfect timing. Two birds w/one stone type deal.
Those rotating pressure washer heads aren't that expensive. Treat yo self!Super happy how good my deck is cleaning up for such crappy wood thats very old. Much less damage than if I power washed it, but my arms are dead and I got my first little bit of sunburn of the season

Every review I read said they leave marks so I'm just reliving my youth, getting some sun, and enjoying the labor. If I had more wood decking to do I'd buy one but I'm the only one in the family who used PT wood. Sister has vinyl decking and moms got a stone patio I set for her when I was a teen so I can't justify the cost let alone pay to get for a tool that could potentially do a worse job than I can manually.
That wet & forget really made it easy. All the mold is dead and just needs a little elbow grease to remove it. If I was in shape and focused on the deck I could of knocked it out in a day, but I'm fat/out of shape and was multi tasking so only got about 2/3 done.
if it's not broken and such.... (still not 100% dry)
about the only thing I don't like is that I did not predrill my screw holes and my screw depth was not consistent so some of the screws caused the boards to crack over time. Now I know better but 15 years ago I was not as wise.
also never buy wood from any big box store - it's all junk compared to a good lumber yard. Another thing I learned the hard way over the years. I originally bough the deck with my $100 per week HD/Lowes allotment from one of my old jobs where the boss didn;t give me a raise that year - just gave me a $5,300 allotment for "jobsite" materials.

Did a thing today.
I really liked having this storage space for things like sponges and scrubbers at our last house. It's a nice way to keep it close and out of sight. I opted for a kit with 2 separate bins so that one could be wet and the other dry. Also wanted plastic over the metal ones they sell.
Now I just need to get a handle and maybe some rubber pieces to make it sound better when you close it. But first, I want to see how long it takes my wife to ask me where the scrubber went.
