Anybody ever tried this stuff? I’m curious how well it holds up over time. I am fed up and fired my contractors so now I’m considering coating the pool deck myself.
When it comes to paint, go to Sherwin Williams. Behr was sold out a decade or so ago and their paint sucks now.Anybody ever tried this stuff? I’m curious how well it holds up over time. I am fed up and fired my contractors so now I’m considering coating the pool deck myself.

Then you'll be in love with Sherwin Williams paints. There's a reason why you only see homeowners at the paint aisle at Home Depot. All of the professional painters are at Sherwin Williams. They're also a lot better at matching existing paint colors too.I've been mostly pleased with the Behr paints and stains that I've purchased.
They have concrete paint as well that you can add texture too. It'll be a better quality paint than Behr.I like Sherman Williams. All the interior paint I’ve used is from there and I painted the exterior of my moms house with their paint as well. I hadn’t looked to see if they have a similar product. I don’t want just paint, I want a texture to put down to keep the concrete from being slippery and hot. Being able to cover up minor imperfections would be ideal as well.
Cool. I will find time to go talk to them about what they can offer me soon! These contractors did such a poor job...If it's gonna be done wrong I might as well give it a shot and do it myself. They have concrete paint as well that you can add texture too. It'll be a better quality paint than Behr.
Never tried it before. I used bear products in the past with good results.Anybody ever tried this stuff? I’m curious how well it holds up over time. I am fed up and fired my contractors so now I’m considering coating the pool deck myself.

Key word being past. Behr paint used to be freaking awesome for the price. I painted a bunch of houses in High school using Behr paint. Then they got bought out and the paint formula changed. Switched over to Sherwin Williams and never looked back.Never tried it before. I used bear products in the past with good results.
That said now I'm using sherwin William's through my neihbors commercial account.
Somthing to consider if this is a project you can afford to "buy once cry once" but ive never seen any big box store products used on any of my commercial jobsites in all my career.
I see sika and Sherman w on everyone.
Same here with the discount. Not sure if I'd pay retail for it especially if I wasn't in the "know" of construction and wasn't paying wholesaleKey word being past. It also helps if you can use a painters discount at Sherwin Williams. I use my painters account #, put the account charge as my address and pay with a credit card. Then when he reviews his account, he'll see my house address and know it's me. But he doesn't care because the more gallons of paint you buy from Sherwin Williams, the higher discount you get. So my painter is helping me and I'm helping him as well.
I am glad to here the good results! Ijust sold some SHW stock today at $310 as my first target (50%) of what I held. Now to see how high the rest of it does.I’ve had good results from Sherwin Williams in the past, I will definitely talk to them before I get going on this. My mother gets a corporate discount there through her work. It’s not a big discount, but a little bit helps on a large job like this.
I have the DeWalt version and it paid for itself on the day I got it. Love that thingPicked up the HF electric pole saw, worked surprisingly well. My first battery powered lawn tool, I was hesitant to try it but it was $400 cheaper than a Stihl and for how often I use it I think it’ll do just fine. Still need to do some final trimming but got a big chunk of it knocked out today.
