Got really lucky!! We had the extended warranty on the washer. 7 years old and the warranty expired on Feb 17!! Got really lucky. They will be out tomorrow between 5 and 9.

Well... repair guy was supposed to have be out between 5 and 9 last night. Never showed up. When we called to verify the appointment earlier in the day they confirmed and gave us the techs number. After not showing up I called him at 8:55 last night and he answered. He said he has been on medical leave for 2 weeks and no idea why they said he was the one to come out. Not impressed with Geek Squad. They are working on getting another appointment now.

Well they gave us just over $900 in credit for the washer. Not bad for a 7 year old washer! Somehow we still ended up spending another $2200 on a washer and dryer!! No bases.. just washer and a dryer and 2 extended warranties! Ouch!

Hell yeah man! I'm cool with it. Use a washer for 7 years and only pay $120 or so for the warranty costs. New warranty's were only $140 for each piece. Money well spent IMO. Downside is that we have to wait until next week to get it... so its time to load up the car with dirty clothes and hit the ol' laundry mat or parents house. Fun fun.

My best story along those lines: 2003 BMW 745li. Drove it for two years and ended up only paying for gas and insurance before they bought it back. Turns out my address was the culprit. It would freeze The car's Windows operating system. I've replicated it in two coworkers 7 series.

You want a really nice LG TROMM dryer (dark metallic gray.. works great) because I'm gonna sell the dryer and the pedestals for cheap. Its a gas dryer. But that thing drys clothes faster than they wash. Its going on CL soon.

I would want it if I didn't have to drive to Austin for it.
I remember they wanted like $600 for the pedestals for the Bosch ones we owned. My stepdad and I looked at em and just walked down to the wood section at home depot to pickup some 3/4" plywood, stopped by the paint aisle for a gallon of white paint and walked back to my mom who was in the appliance section. No way we were paying that for a fucking box, so we just made our own.
