Yep! Every other dishwasher I install is like this. I'll be doing it soon to my mom's dishwasher as well since its been showing it's age for the past couple of years.

As long as we are on it, one reason Zoom hates me is because I want to rip out any and all of the angle stops that are not 90 degree brass.

Star Wars posters are hung. They are way the heck off the ground so you can't read the details. But I have cabinets around the garage so the only space left is above them.

Merry freaking Christmas to me... Our clothes washer just took a dump. It stopped draining. I pulled everything apart and everything mechanical is good. So it has to be in the timer/electronics. I was really just hoping the wife's panties got clogged in the drain or something..

I figured out the issue. The lid closed switch failed. If your washer ever won't drain, check this first, easiest to get to and fix.

Just wire it to always be closed. That's what my stepdad had done to my mom's washer.

Slot car track moves up and down from the ceiling now!! Woot! I did have to take the winch apart though and fix it. Seems one of the bushings came out of its little slot and it was very intermittent. Pulled it apart and saw the bushing, fixed it and now it works flawlessly. I still need to get some paint on the bottom side of the platform, add some legs to the platform as well and then figure out what track formation we want. But for now its ready to go.

I'm going to have to make some adjustments to the bracket that mounts to the ceiling.. ughhh. A few things I didn't anticipate.
#1 Shaking. Due to the various angles along the 4 planes the pulleys are pulling from its causing some shaking in the center mount post. I feel that over time this will fatigue the metal and cause the joint to fail. While it won't fall to the floor it will drop a few feet. Not good.
#2 The angle the single winch cable coming in at starts at 5" below the ceiling. The double pulley is at about 2" from the ceiling and then it goes down to about 4" at the outer tips of the frame. I want to lower this center pulley mount.

Solution.
#1 Add two pieces that span from the outer legs to the center post located near the end of the center post. Should help eliminate shaking
#2 Add two small gussets at the current post mount. Just for S&G.. and to help strengthen the area.
#3 Add a drop mount for the two double pulleys to align them better. Basically it will be a triangulated section of tube that mounts to the bottom of the center post. Plan is to gusset it to the spans that lead to the outer legs.

Hey its a project in motion. :)

Now to go measure and cut some tubing then break out the coping calculator.

Edit: Something like this.. caution mad Paint skillz ahead

That's Mr Asshole to you
I discovered the leak that keeps showing up in my garage is from roten siding. Only happens when we get wind blown rain. The lower trim piece has pulled away and is roten. I have 5 pieces that need to be replaced along with several pieces of trim. Then it's repaint.
Don't really want to tackle this so a friend that has a handy man business is going to do the labor and I am going to paint.
I know some of y'all would say do hardy but then I would have to do all of it in hardy so it matches and don't intend on living here long enough for new stuff rot.

Way to go, such a good Father(pending edit)! Oh wait... who plays with the track more? You or your daughter?

My daughter plays with it more. She had friends over last night and they played on it for an hour or more.

So I added the steel to the bracket for the track today. Had the steel very clean, well coped cuts for the tubing. Had to weld it overhead on the ceiling and I must say, it was the shittiest looking welds of my life. They are wrong but fuck they are ugly!!! At least it's fixed and there is zero shaking when winching up or down. Line pulls are must more linear so that's all good. Just ugly. At least it's 11' in the air.

Pics or the welds never existed. :)
