Samsung has spent years and still can’t make an ice maker worth a shit in their $2k+ fridges.

I’m not buying anymore of their appliance$ products, they make good TVs which is odd, but an ice maker?? really sad.

Same thing with LG's. They also have an issue with their fridge compressor's only lasting a year or two as well that they've been sued for.

According to my refrigeration tech's at work, the problem is all the major manufacturer's share parts across the board so it's really hard to tell what brand will last now (I'm excluding commercial or industrial brands of appliances).

Bought this awhile ago to replace the 3 remotes we were using for our TV, Firebox and soundbar. Works pretty well once you get the bluetooth sorted out on it between the Harmony and Firebox.

Hell I'm on my 3rd fridge now (2- whirlpool and now a GE) and none of the ice makers lasted more then a year on the first two so I didn't even get one on the GE. I just buy ice trays and ripped the ice maker bs out to make room

Yeah I don't know why ice makers suck so bad now. I guess it's because they are trying to make the fridges more efficient so the ice maker doesn't get as much power anymore?

My ice maker on my Samsung is doing akeight so far *knock on wood* but it's only been a year and a half. But it's just a regular old ice maker with a catch bucket. None of that through the door stuff.

The tray is full, but that's from ice trays

Been happy with the Samsung fridge and stove so far over the past year.

Samsung dishwasher and microwave are still in their box's

Awesome! Was just looking for something like this the other day to get rid of our three remotes in the living room. Was getting overwhelmed looking for one that would work with all three. But if you've had good luck with this one, I might give it a go after Christmas once I can buy stuff for myself again.

Yep, it's pretty nice. If you're hooking it up to a Fire Stick or TV, the only annoying thing is you have to wait about 20 seconds for the bluetooth to sync and then you can use the remote for the fire stick. And you lose the voice search functionality but I can get over that or just use the Amazon Fire Stick app on my phone.

Also when you first set it up with the Fire Stick, it was annoying because you get to the setup screen for it and you have to wait for like two minutes for it to full sync together but the app doesn't tell you that. It just leaves you on the same screen with no forward setup option. So that took me awhile to figure out that I had to wait on that screen for the bluetooth sync to finish.

I've never used voice commands on anything so that's no big deal for me. Do you have to wait for the bluetooth to connect all the time? I have a separate power cord for my Firestick so it doesnt have to boot up everytime the TV turns on. Does it still have to connect everytime you use the remote?

Yeah it has to connect everytime. Takes about ~15 seconds and then you're good to go.

My drier took a shit yesterday. Made a trip to Lowes this morning and picked up a new washer/drier set. Got a pretty good price on them, $800 off total plus a mail in rebate.

The sale ends today, I went this morning and bought a washer/drier set using rewards, price match, plus military discount, and almost a free dishwasher($33 cost) and I will get $150 in rebates for the 3 appliances. The Laundry Fairy will be happy wether it’s washing clothes or dishes

Their package deals is why I grabbed a over the range microwave and dish washer even though my kitchen remodel hasn't started. Put the stove and fridge in but the rest remains in the box's



Did I ever tell you guys I hang dried my clothes all summer before my lazy ass looked into why my Maytag dryer wasn't drying and all I had to do was clean the moisture censor with some alcohol?

Installed the 2 new 4ft LED yesterday evening.

Sent the GOOVI under my storage/pallet racks out in the shop, it gets dusty out there, I blocked him off with 1” rebar and ladders.
