Just change out the propane hose to a 2ft hose, just stupid to fight the propane bottle underneath the grill, and yes I used proper tape approved for gas. :D

I like the idea of having that gauge on the line instead of the tank. My tank has the gauge, though it isn't super accurate. Would be nice to have it on the line though so that tank doesn't matter.

the gauge is semi accurate, which is helpful, cause if I throw a bunch of spuds on there, and it reads low, I’ll pick up the tank to make sure it’s got enough weight for 1 - 2hrs

I need to run a hard line to my grill so I can stop buying propane for it. Previous owners had one, but I demo'd it before I moved in because it was the wrong copper line and it was not buried. They just laid it on top of the ground and it was all pinched up and corroded. Pretty much everything they touched was rigged to kill someone somehow.

The one on my tank isn't super accurate either, but it gives enough indication to make an educated guess. It looks the same as the one you have on the line, so we are probably dealing with the same thing.

Natural gas is the way to go with outdoor grills but it's getting harder and harder to find well built grills that have natural gas burners that aren't infrared. I can't stand cooking on infrared burners because they cook everything too fast.

To change from propane to natural gas is just changing the orffice tube, stupid cheap...

Added a Honeywell HCM 350B so I can breath and not be itchy. Took my humidity from around 26% Sunday morning to 38% Sunday evening.

That % jump equated to me putting 2 gallons of water into my air. At this point I'm kicking myself in the arse for not getting a whole house humidifier when I got my new HVAC. Chock it up to getting old and dumb - Ive never noticed nor had any issues with dry skin until now so I went cheap. Now I bought a band aid for the issue that will not fully resolve it because I was looking for instant gratification and again being cheap. Sometimes I wish hindsight wasn't 20/20 and I'd buy once cry once for everything in life o_O

BTW - I really like the 350 unit. Seems well designed and made. Just not big enough to keep my house moist unless it's running full power 24/7/365

You can add a whole house humidifier after the fact. No idea how effective or reliable they are, but the units do exist.

Yea, I looked them up. Maybe when I redo my plumbing. I also think I realized why I never noticed it last year ~ I quit smoking in September of last year and made it through the entire winter w/o a cig. My body felt so good I prob overlooked a little dry skin or didn't have it. This year like the tard I am ~ I'm back to smoking. I'm sure literally smoking myself from the inside out is not helping. At this point I'm surprised I'm not a 220# sack of jerky

Last night I turned it down from High to Low and overnight it still consumed about the same amount of water and my humidity was still at 38% so at least now I feel better leaving it running 24/7. Still a PITA to remember to keep it filled up. I was out the door and in my car this morning before ready to pull out of my driveway when I remembered I had forgotten to fill it up. Might tack a note to my front door until it becomes part of my routine.

I had another 13tons of base delivered yesterday and the driveway extension is now done. :D

I was also able to burn my entire brush pile, which was the tops of 11 trees that I cut down and numerous branches from another 15+ trees.

You should have waited a couple days and put the family work when they visited.

You can pick up and move down here if you need some humidity. A summer of Texas swamp ass will have you running back up north lol

unless your further west, no more swamp ass here, lol

My brother has really enjoyed the weather here the last few days and dreads driving back to the Big Ugly aka Houston’s swamp ass humidity

Well it never fails. Day after Christmas I noticed the house was cold. Heater had been making a slight humming noise but I didn’t have time to diagnose it. Didn’t sound nearly this loud in the house as it did in the basement next to the heater. The motor finally seized on me yesterday, ordered a new part and it will be here tomorrow. Luckily the weather has been mild the last few days. Lasted for 12 years and it’s a relatively cheap part ($85) so I guess I can’t complain too much.

Sounds like someone installed a first gen Tacoma power steering pump in my furnace lol

I was never too impressed with some of the Goodman products, maybe the shit made at post 2008 when they practically outsourced everything for Mexico manufacturing
