Then ask him to prove it “no, it’s not to code...”
You work by many regulations and guidelines correct?

Schedule 40 drain pipe, residential repair, house on septic, and not located within a mud dist or under any city ordinances.

It would take twice as much if not more force to penetrate that patch, it’s forever bonded with PVC cement, even after removing the hose clamp, verses any where else on that pipe sidewall where it would be single wall.
It's not to code lol But remember, it's not what's written in the code book but how the inspector interprets the written code! Inspectors don't care about your interpretation of the code book and they wouldn't sign off on that fix because they can't guarantee that it won't leak in the future. If it ever did leak, then the city can be held accountable for damages.

I bet you and your plumber like my repair fix. :)
We did! He said it'd probably hold just fine but it's not to code lol

Finally finished painting the entire garage(ceiling, walls, doors) too, took more Saturdays than I would like. The garage is about 800sq ft with 5 closet doors, 2 entry doors, 2 doggie doors, 1 attic door.
3.25 gallons for the ceiling, 3.5 gallons for walls, .5 gallon doors/trim.

HD sells oops paints, that is what the wall paint is, just grab a neutral type color, it’s a garage.

5 gallons for $30! normally $130.

everything seems to be dead (black & green molds/lichens/moss) and just waiting for nature to clean it off.

I hand cleaned my windows and siding today because they are under eves and don't get rained on all that much. Because I cheated by applying elbew grease I'm not posting those before/after pics. Just know they came out perfect & removed everything last years bleaching left behind (mostly black mold).
I believe the pros use sodium hydroxide on stuff like that

vice nice, how much was all that material for wall like that?
15x8 wall, I Will have used 3 80# sacks of quick Crete type S mortar, and the thin brick was around $800. I’m going to return about $100-150 worth of brick though because 15% of each box was cracked in half when I got it.

plus $100 worth of 1/4” hardibacker

Looks great! Nice job caulking prior to painting! That's usually the #1 step overlooked by non professionals. I know I did it backwards when I did my floor quarter round trim a decade ago after my vinyl flooring - now the caulk gathers dust 100X faster than the paint lol

BTW - my guys are really liking the metal tech baker trays. Said they are helping them save a TON of time not having to climb down to grab stuff - they just keep it int he trays (got two trays per baker). No idea why no one here bought them or suggested them before I saw yours. Had two guys on them 8hrs a day the past few weeks on this job.......

they are definitely helpful with holding paint trays and tools, I no longer work off a ladder anymore, I just use the ladder to step unto the platform. When I first got mine, I thought why is it only so wide(30”)? Duh, it fits in door ways to...

Cleaned up my garage, got A TON of baby stuff put away in the attic that my kiddos outgrown already (saving for the next kid), did a bunch of small projects that I've been putting off for a long time. Feels good to have those stupid little projects done.
