Is that a USB turntable?

No, it's just does bluetooth, and has a connection for external speakers. I bought a set of cheap computer speakers and run them through the headphone outlet for now. I need to build a table/record rack before doing something better including a higher end player.

Good to see vinyl making a comeback.

Yeah, noting like the sound of it IMO. I have a pretty good collection of old original stuff. I have all of Zeppelins stuff and Pink Floyd's. I also have some old country and Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan etc. I hit up half price books here local for it. You can also get original stuff on Amazon pretty regularly. A ton of newer artists are doing vinyl now too. The Black Keys have all their stuff out there and you can't beat the Black Keys.

I used to have a super nice Dual turntable with a Pioneer "quadraphonic" receiver through 4 JBL 10" speakers that my dad handed me down when in 4th grade. MANY MANY years ago. I think I wore out AC/DC's Back in Black and Bostons first album on that thing. It sounded amazing.

edit: This was the receiver... or very close. I guess it was a Panasonic.. I just remember that little joystick. :)

My mom use to have a nice one that flipped the record for you, in one of those huge ass wooden tables lol. I wish it was still around.

I had a Yamaha tape deck (Dolby B/C DBX) that was very high end back in the late 80's. It had a button on the remote to open the tape door... but you still had to get up to remove it. LOL. I loved the Nakamichi back from the early 80's that would actually flip the tape. The Yamaha did not play a tape backwards because the thought was the same as Nakamichi, you get the head aligned to play it in one direction and that was it. Better sound.

So when I was in high school, my senior year English teacher was this mans mom. NOW HEAR THIS: Mike Wanchic has spent a 40-year career with Mellencamp | The Chronicle Herald

Her son was a guitarist for John Cougar back in the day (1985) and apparently to this day. Anyhow I hated her. LOL. But she drove a new Vette (her son bought it for her) and after Christmas break we all came back and she had a couple students go to her car to get what was in the "truck". They brought back a box with a couple items. All presents from her son. One was a platinum Scarecrow album from them that was signed "To Mary Lou, From the Boys". They also had brought in a photo album (back way before PhotoFuckit) that showed the whole band livinging in teepee's in Indiana and then homes on the same land. Pretty cool. But she was still a shitty teacher.
