Tools!

Went to Lowe's to pick up a couple things and on my way to the door made a stroll through the tool section. Found a little set with 16 metric sockets, a 3/8" drive ratchet, a 3" extension, and a u-joint adapter for $18. Figured it would be a cheap handy set to have in the truck. Bought it and opened it up and this is what I saw.

Good news is that it's only one and they sell replacements for cheap. Or... You take it back and get s brand new set. :)

Remove rest of sockets, return empty case, profit?

I just returned it. I couldn't exchange it because it was the last metric set they had. And they wouldn't just give me a 17mm socket for some reason. Oh well, I'll find some other cheap set for the truck.

Our bostitch finish nailer crapped out so I ordered some new nailers off amazon. I wasn't happy with the lack of bostitch replacement parts. They basically just want you to buy a new nailgun instead of fixing it.

Amazon was having a sale and I got the 18 gauge finish nailer for $10 off.

16 gauge. I haven't ever owned one and I needed it.

I have about 11 Bostitch nailers.. pretty much the entire lineup in one shape or another. Never had an issue. But it helps that my best bud worked for them for 10 years as a sales/tech rep. :) But they do wear out.

I went to the Lowe's by my parents house when I was down there this weekend and picked up that set. The other one was definitely used as it didn't come with the foam insert or Kobalt sticker that this new set had in it.

Dammit. I need to find a DeWalt rep and make him my best friend lol
Used the 16 gauge today and it was perfect.

looking for a used American made vise. Folks on CL want a fortune since they seem to know what they are worth. No luck at the flea market, a very small one at that down the street, but my dad is the ultimate tool horder, so will see if he has/can find me one.

Biggin is r.s knifeworks, smaller shop custom blades, blue one is lucky 13, also a small shop, custom knives witha few months wait.scary sharp, more of a skinning knife, but may carry it daily when shirt is not tucked in since it's smaller and has a small footprint on the belt.
