Baker Brothers Installations. I remember because I welded all the angle iron bumpers on the floor together when they built the place. Fuckers took 90 days to pay me.

Thank you sir! Already bookmarked their website. 90 days is about the norm for us. Most of our jobs go through GC's and they like us to play banker and finance their projects for them. Pretty sure my boss leaves 2million on the street normally. he isn't very good at collecting. Ive shown him where the water is, but can;t force him to drink it. I;d pull guys off jobs and stop qouting anyone past 30 days. He doesn't even tell me about late pays on my jobs unless they are past 120. He'd rather spend the 8% from the horrible line of credit he has. Just pissing money away daily here![]()
/Friday rant
dang - truck costs more than one of my unions guys![]()
I know @Silverback likes Milwaukee stuff. They are the HD Deal of the Day. Just ordered the metric wrench set...
Special Buy Of The Day
After 60 days I leave voicemails every hour, show up to your house, call the ceo, etc.
Shit that pisses me off the most is the 10% retention for the duration of the job. If I do structural steel work for a new building it's gonna be at least a year before I get my last check. I really can't stand GCs financing jobs through their subs.

Why are wrenches so expensive?
For such a basic tool, I have found myself using them a lot lately. After rounding some nuts a few weeks back using the El-cheapo Allied ones that came in a kit that I've had since High School, I decided to upgrade. I bought a Husky set (Husky Metric Long-Pattern Universal Combination Wrench Set (10-Piece)-HXLSPW10PCMM - The Home Depot) that is designed no either not round nuts, or still grab rounded nuts....not sure which...either way, better than the crap I was using. They've been great!
Then, I had a few times while driving the truck that I thought "I need to check to make sure that is tight" and would always forget by the time I got home. So I ordered that Milwaukee set that I posted the link to before. Heck, a $70 wrench set for $26 bucks. Figured it would be a good investment to keep in the truck. Not that I feel my truck needs to have "in case shit" tools, but I feel better having them.
Then I helped someone install a lift on their 4Runner a few weeks ago. I helped someone else replace the alternator in their Altima yesterday and had to remove the anti-freeze reservoir to get access and some space to work. Both times I found myself thinking "a ratcheting wrench set would be really nice to have right about now." So the search...
...either they are super expensive for all the features that I want - $250 for the Milwaukee set (Milwaukee Metric Combination Ratcheting Wrench Set (15-Piece)-48-22-9516 - The Home Depot) - , have the old school "round anything that is more than hand tight" head (Husky SAE/Metric Combination Ratcheting Wrench Set (20-Piece)-HRW20PCSM - The Home Depot), or extremely limited in the included sizes (Husky 100-Position Double Ratcheting Wrench Set Metric (6-Piece)-H100DRW6PCMM - The Home Depot).
No way I'm paying $250 for something that is considered to be one of the most basic of any tool, but I don't want to settle for crap and piece-meal either. I want a "modern" open end, a small arc swing, and sizes that range from at least 10mm up to 17mm that doesn't cost a small fortune. I also prefer it to come in something that keeps them organized, but that isn't a deal breaker.
@Silverback posted a link long ago for gear wrench stuff, and they offee BOGO deals stuff, I purchased a few set from them, iirc, the wrench sets were 22pc sets
Can't remember what company/linky???
I sure he has it saved.
FWIW, I dont regret purchasing any of my GearWrench stuff. Even if it wasn't on sale. Still a great buy for the money I think. I found with wrenches, you're never going to find a set that has every size you want. And if you do, it's going to include a shitload that you dont want. I bought this set and added a couple of individual wrenches as well (18mm, 22mm, and I think a 20mm as well). Any other sizes I need I'll buy on an "as needed" basis.
GearWrench Metric Reversible Combination Ratcheting Wrench Set (8-Piece)-9543 - The Home Depot
I think the 22pc (6-32mm) Long Pattern Combination Non-Ratcheting Wrench Set were pretty cheap iirc.
