I have a new Milwaukee corded bandsaw, I think its the same one in your link. I actually ordered the SWAG Offroad bandsaw table for it this morning.

This one would be nice but I'm looking for something smaller. Milwaukee M18 FUEL 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Deep Cut Band Saw (Tool-Only)-2729-20 - The Home Depot

SWAG Offroad delivers! FAST! Ordered Wednesday and USPS delivered it today. Kudos USPS. Now to go throw some primer and paint on this thing and start cutting some steel. I have a 1 that needs to be turned into 4.

Fucking auto-rotate bullshit.

When you get it together I'd love to see a pic. Been trying to buy them for my shop and the boss is being a cheap ass as always. I should just throw it on my company cc and tell him to eat poo if he questions its purchase. Guys here have been clamping it to our vice, but that method sucks.

I stopped asking for permission and just ask for forgiveness now. When I started at my job, my guys were missing so many tools they needed it wasn't even funny. They were sharing one socket set from the 1980's between them. That's all changed now as I've gotten every one of my guys the tools they need.

The trick is ordering in batches so it's a lot of small purchases overtime rather than one huge purchase upfront. Or I'll just estimate the price of the tools needed into a large job and if I get the job, then I place the tools on order.

Ive been trying. Last week I had to use my own 20' tow strap and tree saver I got from TOR for Christmas just to unload 12 cases of glass that were in the nose of a 53' trailer. We are doing 5 million is business out of a rental unit shop. Our shop sucks and all our tools suck. Right now I'm getting the guys new lasers when they break there's. Boss finally agreed to stop buying Bosch throw aways and let me buy Stabila ones that can be calibrated. We joke here that all of us own better tools at home than our boss buys here. Should be the exact opposite. My shop guy uses HD 12" 96 tooth Diablo blades for cutting aluminum. For the average homeowner they would be fine, but Ive got an American Carbide 120 tooth blade thats rebuild-able and will last a lifetime if taken care of properly. Boss said he would never spend $300 on a blade when he can get a HD one for $70. At the end of the year I'm going to tally up how much we spent on throw aways then amaze him with how much we would of saved by just sending good blades back to be sharpened & retipped for $20.

Lomg story short - Ive been looking for a job. Soon as I get my EOY commission check I would like to leave.

I ended up buying the foot pedal and a new miter gauge.

I learned pretty damn quick how expensive cheap tools are, especially for professional daily use.

My first laser level was a spectra...

You like it? it was a coin toss between Spectra and Stabila. Stabila only won out because their laser shoots a vertical line right back to the laser on top and bottom. Almost no need for the plum bob portion of it becasue the laser does so good. My guys are telling me they are eating batteries fast, but they are all used to crappy red lasers.

Yeah I do. It doesn't get used all the time. I use it mostly to get my post heights correct on gates, patio covers, etc. I haven't used the vertical line yet.

Finally got my Ridgid JobMax back from the repair shop yesterday.

I love that the Ridgid stuff has the Lifetime Service Agreement. I've had very little question when having things serviced. The downside is that they don't send you new stuff unless the old is not made anymore, parts are indefinitely unavailable or the entire unit is just trashed. We thought the head was bad, so they sent a new head. That turned out to not be the issue and after several weeks to get the head, it was apparent that the body had issues. Of course, the tools only break when you are in the middle of a project and need them. It's been a month+ since I started having problems with it. To be fair, the shop was going off a combination of the information that I was giving them and what they saw with the parts. They also found more damage the more they took it apart.

I don't feel like I'm rough with my tools, but maybe I am (shrug?). Either way, glad to have it back so that I can finish that stupid bathroom.

I like my milwaukee stuff. 5yrs on the tool, 3yrs battery. By the end of that if you use the tool professionally it's reached the end of its life anyway, plus you will most likely want the new model.

When I've had to use the warranty you go online, fill out a form, and they give you an overnight shipping label to print out, they get it, and in a couple days later they overnight the repaired or new tool back to you. I can send a tool in Monday and have a working one back by Friday.

Looking for screw guns in the shop yesterday I found an entire milk crate full of bad Makita 18v impact guns. Took a pic but couldn't download it here because I use blue beam for everything and it saves them as PDF's instead of Jpegs. Must be 10-15 bad impacts. I asked the boss why we kept buying them if they only last a year. Still waiting for a response. I miss the shops I worked in that used Hilti. I'd have stuff replaced same day or a day later by our salesman who works out of the Philly branch. One of the benefits of their high pricing.

I have the option of shipping them in, I just have always opted to take to the local repair shop. They seems honest and good...something that is hard to find. I don't mind the wait. It's just annoying when you have multiple part failures that delay the repair.

I also took my chainsaw to them for repair....the same one that wouldn't start in Arkansas. I think I'll test to make sure their fix was permanent this weekend. I've got a few limbs that need to come down.

I'll keep fanboying for milwaukee...

I've run their shit hard for 4 years now and I have zero complaints. They've gotten rained on, dropped, beat up, and used HARD. I've used my drill with a 3" hole saw cutting 3/16" steel until it was literally too hot to hold, doing that all day, I've mixed concrete with it, etc. I can't believe that it's still kicking. Same with the cordless grinder. It's get hours of use daily and still is kicking strong.

Huge Milwaukee fan as well. I don’t beat on them nearly as much as you do but I have a lot of them and some are 10 years old or so.

I was watching forged in fire last night and what do they bring out? Same portable Portaband tables so the guys could cut down steel at their worksstations.
