What are you trying to light up? An area or under the hood?

If I am needing to use a tool while out camping or traveling then she is already annoyed enough. No need to run up the score. lol

Well, I can't leave well enough alone. Then you should have all the hot air you need, right?

Of course, you know I'm just joking....kind of.

Backyard work. I was thinking if I get the battery light I could also use it for camping/plinking and if I ever buy some off grid property - I'd use it for construction purposes.

Just tired of halogen bulbs blowing out anytime they get touched. Chances are if I get property a genny will be needed for construction anyway.

Ill just buy some more bulbs and save my money. Chances are those Milalkee prices will drop eventually and then Ill pull the trigger. Ive got no issues waiting and buying last years models if it saves me a good % + Ill get to see how they hold up over time. Right now the model I want just came out so who knows how good of a beating it can really take.

I bought a cheapo tripod with two halogen lights on it. Of course the halogens took a shit. So I just bought two LED singles and mounted in place of the halogens. Works great.

Hmm....thats not a bad idea at all. I buy POS LED's from harbor freight for the workers - they kill or steal good lights

I think Ive got a new plan now - thanks lol

I have one of these and it's great. But I've never ran it off of batteries so I'm not sure of battery life or anything like that. Just bought it because it was on sale and I needed a light to use in my attic when I was fixing a water leak last summer. It can be plugged into an extension cord or ran from a battery.

RYOBI 18-Volt ONE+ Hybrid 20-Watt LED Work Light (Tool-Only)-P721 - The Home Depot

Thats the kind of pricing Milwalkee needs to keep up with. I also really like the Ryobi battery powder fan - my buddy has one and it's bad ass. Runs almost a full weekend on one charge. The milwalkee fan on the other hand it also very expensive and rates worse. Ryobi has been stepping it up recently.

This is the only Ryobi product I own so I didnt want to invest in a battery for it until I actually need one. I havent tries the Ryobi fans but the Milwaukee fans at work have been awesome from my experience. But then again, I didnt pay for them.

I'm waiting for the mil fan to go on sale then I might pull the trigger. I only camp 2-3 times a year where the bugs/heat is bad and a fan would be great.

I never took any pics but had to buy 2 Makita drill/driver sets over the weekend for new guys we just hired from the hall. Boss had me grab this specific kit.

Got a good chance to compare them directly to my Milwaukee and while they are not the "top of the line" Makita I do like their grips much better.

Makita battery charger is LOUD very LOUD. Two of them charging at the same time made me leave the room because the fan hum was driving me crazy. Also charging (4) 2amp battery packs made me open a window the fumes were so bad. I would not buy these for a dusty environment - they rely heavily on fans to keep them cool.

Overall fit and finish was on par if not better than Milwaukee and these have less crap going on so I like the design better. My Milwaukee looks like it's out of a Star Wars episode & Looks silly to me.

Makita is the only thing we run at work except for my electricians all use the Milwaukee 12V line because of the electrician specific tools they make.

Next time get the Brushless version. They are soooo much quieter than the brushed version. I am currently switching my guys tools over to the brushless versions because of the noise reduction and longer run time.

I wish. This place is stuck in the past. I was shaking my head that the owner made me buy drills that don't have a hammer drill feature.

So cheap...... Makes zero sense to me to outfit guys that cost us $735 per day with a $180 driver set. Guess I'm used to working for companies that value efficiency by equipping the men with good tools.
