My locker at work is ridiculous. Finally had a chance today to do a little bit of organizing on one side of it. Still have to redo all the drawers on the other side. But at least I know where tohe majority of my daily use stuff is now. And no, I don't have an addiction to c-clamps and vice clamps... I just like them a lot. There's only 25 of them in there...

Not sure if this is good news or just more BS from G Stove...... if the ready date is 11/30 and Christmas is 12/25....WTF does that even mean? They take a month to pack items? So confused by her native tongue but just glad I can communicate in English w/them.

December 26th will be one year since I placed the order. BTW - if you want a stove you can get one shipped out today from G Stove USA..... Since I went direct to the HQ in Norway I wait a year.

Cancel, get money back, order from US supplier.

In frustration last night I wrote the e-mail I wanted to send but never sent it. Instead I just asked "any luck shipping this month".

If I had gotten back any other answer this was going to be my response....

"I see that G Stove USA and multiple other countries have had stoves in stock for weeks on their portals from the main website. I am becoming very concerned. When I placed my order it was my understanding that orders were fulfilled in the order they came in and lead times were approx at 4 months. My friend ordered a G Stove Heat XL last week and had it in his hands in three days. I know multiple other people who have ordered stoves 9-10 months after me and have theirs in hand. Today is day three hundred and twenty nine (almost 100X longer than anyone who places an order today in multiple countries). I am becoming increasingly concerned that I will never see my order and that my money is long gone. Please assure me that is not the case and that my stove will be shipping immediately. I understand the need to stock distributors for the marketing push of opening them up, but not at the expense of customers who have paid in full almost a year prior. At this point I feel like my payment was used as an investment and I'm being scammed."

I think the item holding up my order is the 5 liter water heater/stovepipe.

at this point I'm just going to keep waiting. the bushcraft "scene" is very popular in social media and Ive saved every single bit of correspondence including screen shots from when I placed the order. I'll start flaming them in public if it drags out into 2021 and my last recourse would be How to Submit a Complaint - Ansvarlig Næringsliv

Custom stuff is always a concern so I make sure I keep all records and this being my first custom international order I did 10x that. Ive also done some legwork and if things go south Ive got enough correspondence + enough info that I feel like recouping my cash would not be an issue but I don't want cash - I want product. Heck I have their bank account info from the international transfer.... and then that opened up other doors. Amazing what you can get from 3,600 miles away via the interwebz....even a tech tard like me.

Still sounds like a scam...

Just order another one from a known supplier, if the other does show up, it should not be hard to resell if they are that good of a stove and that hard to get ahold of one.

I ordered factory direct. No distributors or middle men. Thats why I'm pissed now. The distributors are stocked and they were not even open when I placed my order - I was forced to go direct.

Norway's consumer protection laws are pretty crazy so it carries onto their terms. That makes me feel a little better. Per the terms I'm actually allowed to complain and get compensation if I could prove what I think is going on is going on to their gubment mediator. Terms of sale from Gstove

If I don't get a shipping notice by the end of the year it's time to burn the muther focker down :flaming:

and Ill prob still flame them in public after I get everything...I mean "state the facts" lol

Oh and I'm in no real rush.... the stove is a chess move thats 3 steps ahead. I don't even have anything to use it in. it may or may not help me keep my shanty warm if a property was going to get purchased and built out or for winter camping in a hot tent I am no where near ready to purchase.

Norway but it seems like Jamaica with their lack of timeliness. Maybe they think they are on island time, even though they are on a peninsula lol

Getting real tired of measuring with tapes and leveling with physical levels.... so I said screw it and talked myself into "investing in my future" lol

I bought myself a laser and laser measure'r like I used commercially at my old day jobs.

Now I can "go to work" immediately w/o anyone needing to get me tools or taking up any company resources. or so I told myself as I dropped the cash

After using them for decades going back in time to old school tools can suck it

lol

Which one did you see? I think I'll go pick up a 6-8' fiberglass ladder at HD, these Little Giant knock-off ladders are great until you have to move one. Too damn heavy.

I saw a laser measure and laser level on black Friday deal at HD. Probably going to fi back and pick them up.

I would advise avoiding getting any of that stuff from a big box store. Heck I advise you avoid shopping at them all together. Similar to walmark a great deal of the goods sold there are dumbed down name brand cheap crap.

buy once - cry once.

HD sells allot of Bosch and thats 100% pure homeowner throw away junk. Not even Proconsumer IMHO. Any laser that doesn't lock for travel and can not be serviced = trash. One drop and it's headed to the curb. Took me three years but right as I was leaving my old company I had phased all that crap out and had gotten all the guys Stabila.

You want a cheap laser measurer try a Stabila LD220. I used one for over 5 years and you can get one for less than $100. I only got the LD250 because it has bluetooth and a app for measuring multiple openings and saving time not having to write it down or make transposition errors.

Regarding lasers - if you wanna go cheap - buy 40' of clear tube and use a water level. I'd rasther have slow accurancy than fast inaccuracy with buying a cheap laser. Never seen a Bosch that was good out of the box (all off more than 1/8" over 120"), and even the dewalt I bought to try sucked and was off right out of the box. For $40 more the Stabila LAX 300G was the winner. Also has unique features no other lasers have.

Once in a while HD has good sales on Lousville ladders - they are far batter than the Werner crap HD stocks. Half of our werner ladders wouldn't make it a year. My fat ass bent one within a month.

I am glad HD is bringing in better brands like Hilti and Louisville but you still gotta look up the part numbers to insure it's not some low grade junk for the big box's

also gotta factor in the cost of labor and materials when you screw them up. a few bad cuts will make up that cost difference real quick.

of course I'm pretty sure I'm the extreme and the only one in here with a $230 10' tape measure lol

I could use one to set pins over hundreds of feet for cross fencing, don’t care if it’s off by few inches, which one is closer to harbor fright pricing?
