TOR Race

Been watching offroad racing on TV and the thought occurred to me to do a TOR sponsored amateur race. Anyone interested?

Sure, I don't think any of us are setup to own a high speed race in our trail rig (except for Todd). I was thinking more technical that super fast anyway. Something that would test skill more than build.

Set up a mini top truck challenge event, with both timed and untimed technical events. Would be really cool to see a low buck-ish event for the stockish truck.

I think it would be fun... but as soon as word gets out about it you will get people with full blown buggies and fast shit.

Make it a no prize bragging rights only and I think that would keep the actual racing types away, or just have a no buggy clause something like vehicle must retain most of it's original sheet metal

They have those at Canyons and I know it draws a large crowd.. regardless of no prize money.

We had thought about sponsoring a race, but it was a tag team style event. 3 vehicle teams... two obstacles and then a mechanical challenge. Simulate a breakage and have the person swap a CV.. or change a tire.. basically a trail fix of sorts.
