What have you done to someone else's ride lately?

tex

That's Mr Asshole to you
Also got a behind grill light bar installed with @CowboyTaco Dont remember who made the brackets or light bar but they looked nice.
He and @balakay helped a ton with the lift today and could not done it without them.

Spent roughly two hours last night swapping out the blower fan resistor on our F250. This should've been a 2 minute job but the old resistor was literally rusted together. I had to break the old one out, then pull/cut off the plastic body (which was a mofo), only to find out the spades have rusted together into one piece inside the male plug so it was unusable. So I cut the wires and put on spade connectors to plug into it. Blower fan control finally works again. This is all in addition to being located in a barely accessible area in the engine bay.
It sucks we are going to sell this truck next week, but it also sucks seeing it just sit in the driveway rusting away (literally lol). I have debated for awhile buying it from my mom, but I feel that it's just going to be an endless money pit since it's a 17 year old truck at this point. Half the electronics don't work in it and everything underneath the truck has a heavy layer of rust. It's also a constant daily reminder of my stepdad too so it hard to look at sometimes.

Oh crap. That riminds me, I have a new resistor for my Taco. - Better put that puppy in soon. Sadly, since I bought the new car and switched employers, other than my Christmas trip, that thing hasn't moved much. :(

You can have mine if you want....whenever I get my truck down there. It's in good shape. Think it's only got 60k on it and it's just taking up space in my shed. It's the entire OE assembly from cat back. Would be nice to quite that thing down lol

My brother helped me out this weekend swapping the brake lines (brake pedal workout). I helped him swap out his rotors and brake pads on his 09' Tundra. He went to Powerstop rotors which I tried to talk him out of using. His OEM rotors with 125,000 miles on them were still thicker than the brand new Powerstop rotors he was installing.

I also took a look at the undercarriage of his truck to see if there was anything that needed to be fixed/replaced and came out pissed off. 125,000 miles on the truck and not a speck of rust on anything but the exhaust. So frustrating when you look at the Tacoma frames.

lol thats great. I had that happen with brake pads on my Ford one time. New brake pads were thinner than the old ones. Luckily I was the one doing the install because it forced me to look elsewhere for the issues which ended up being the master cylinder becoming cannibalistic.

Started on a buddies 2nd gen ram. I got rid of the shitty upper/lower control arms and installed a Ruffstuff universal radius arm kit. I paired that with Thuren 3" soft ride springs and shocks. Rear will be a diy4x shackle flip and thuren shocks. Tires are 39"x15" boggers. Should ride much better once finished.

new springs and shocks

Radius arms

On its own weight up front.

im building an adjustable track bar to replace the stocker. Hope to get it out of my way in a week or two.

You should swap out that CAD D60 while it's apart

i agree Randy. I hate that axle, but it should be fine for what he wants to do with it.

With 40 inch boggers it won't take long to strip the cad coupler

Pretty much wrapped up the buddy's 2nd gen ram.
Knocked out the new adjustable track bar and mount this weekend. Also installed the tires in the rear. Sits pretty dead nuts level. Almost like when a leveling kit is installed. Perfect stance IMO. The owner likes it as well. If he decides he wants the shackle flip installed, I will do that later. For now the rear will only be getting the new Thuren shocks.

Some specs on the finalized radius arms. The lowers are 39" and the uppers are 18.5" eye-to-eye. The trac bar is 1.5" x .25" DOM with Ruffstuff 7/8" heims. They sell misalignment spacers for a 1-5/8" bracket so i used that for the factory axle mount and 2" spacers for the frame mount.

Pics:
drivers side is in and painted up.

new trac bar mount pushed forward some. Clears the steering and the stock mount. Gusseted for extra strength.

How it sits with no lift in the back and the 3" lift up front.

Just for comparison, my brother's 2nd gen has a 2.5" spacer leveling kit on 35s and it sits 50" to the door handle. This one sits 51" with the radius arms and 39s.
