Wifes XC90 is still under warranty but its been in the shop 3 times this year. It now has another issue and it has an intermittent stutter at highway speeds. It' going bye bye. Which is too bad because it was an awesome vehicle. Replacing it is a 2026 BMW X5 xDrive 50e. Almost 500 horse and 520 ugga duggas. Its got the M Sport package plus a lot more. Fairly loaded out... and quick! 0-60 in 4.5 they say. It was a service loaner so it has 7 thousand miles on it, but we got $11k off sticker and still get all the warranty and the lower finance rate. Awaiting on down payment funds to transfer but its a done deal. Rear tires are 315/35's and fronts are 275/40's. When it comes time to buy new ones I'm gonna need to sell a kidney.

Congrats! X5's are awesome cars. My mom is on her second X5. I wanna say her yearly service cost is ~$5-$6k at the dealer. She's wanting to trade it in and get a X7 at some point.

Her tires are roughly the same size and they were Michelin run flats that were discontinued. The new Michelin's would've costed around $2k IIRC so I said fuck that and get her a set of normal continentals. She can call Triple A if she gets a flat at this point (knock on wood).

This thing has Pirelli summer tires... I wish they were all season. Not sure about run-flats, they probably are as there is no spare tire. I was looking at an X7 M50, twin turbski V8.. sounded AMAZING. but the reliability was complete garbage. Consumer Reports had it at a 23. 😮
