I need to pull my Oasis compressor and have it rebuilt, it's blowing fuses/circuit breakers... Not little shit.. 200 amp
Breakers pop.
I'd wait until you can weld with it!
But really, that sucks!

Popped out the dent on my rear passenger quarter panel from last weekend, my sliders saved my ass though for sure.

Sounds like the moter is shooting to ground imo.
I spoke with Oasis today. He said the motor normally draws 200 amps but starts to draw more as it gets older. He suggested a larger breaker. The other option is a upgrade/rebuild. Hold onto your wallet... the motor is $600! Labor is $50 plus another $65 in shipping!! OUCH! Bad news (as if that wasn't enough) is that the new motor is larger so I won't be able to install it in the same location. So I'll have to redo stuff. Good news is that the new motor draws 40 amps less, is much larger and thicker and has a fan. So it should last longer. But I am still stuck at the $715 to repair it.
Time to find a larger breaker and see if that "fixes" it.
Put the new wheels and tires on the taco, put in the scanguage and hardwired my gps and cb. Also have my 4xinnovation sliders waiting to be put on, will probably just drive back to Tx to have those put on though. I don't know of any good welders in my area here except at the auto hobby shop on base, and they wont weld to the frame. Putting on my new OME coilovers on sunday, and hoping to get my new stereo in before I leave for Tx on the 6th.
As far as the old truck, finally got over to check it out. I am lucky it is still here and wasn't towed off. We left the states on a 36 hour notice and my friend said he would get it into a storage yard. Well, he got it in one, but never paid the bill. I was 'lucky' that someone stole the wheels and tires off of it so they were unable to tow it...other various parts have been stolen, including the oem gas tank skid, and the cover I had made for the intake since I did not have a carb for it. Random useless other shit is gone as well, rather weird for someone to make off with. Go figure, at least it is still here. Just dropped $160 to backpay for storing it here. Probably wont be getting started on this truck til I get back from leave at the end of June.

Damn, normally draws 200 amps? They may need to adjust their posted specs then cause it doesn't say that anywhere on them.
I would like an AMC type York in the truggy!
Bud Built used to make an adapter plate for a York to mount to a 22R(E).. but he stopped production. I want one.
Sucks that all that crap got stolen

That sounds awesome. Why the hell would he stop?
Yeah, I just don't understand why anyone would take those tires, they were dry rotted to hell and only one could hold air for over 24 hours, and the rims were just stock steelies so they weren't worth half a damn. They broke a few of the wheel studs off when they took them too. They're all nice and rusted up so those will be fun when I get back.
Truck is going up on jack stands right now so I can pull my 3rd out.

You should really convince your superiors that a 2 post lift is needed in that shop.
