I've had the lifetime alignment. It's through Firestone. I swore I'd never go back there but I couldn't make myself pay for an alignment knowing that I could have got it for free. I'll just have to deal with their corporate bullshit. I don't remember the exact price as I bought it a few months ago. I think it was the price of two alignments ($140ish I think). It pays for itself pretty quick.
If you want a good alignment in this city (Firestone is not good), Southwest Brake and Alignment is your only option.

Finally wired up my light bar on my bumper and my ditch lights. Just need to get my rock lights on now and that project will be done.
Then I just need to rebuild my spare CV, swap it on, rebuild the one I swap it with, and then put it on the other side, and then rebuild that one for a spare and I'll be ready for Jambo. Doesn't sound like fun.

Fuck. Got the new wheel bearing installed and the axle still pulled out. Pulled both sides and it appears the drivers side is maybe a 1/4" longer. So I'm swapping sides with them. Either way the shit wheel bearing is replaced and I have 4 new uber boots. Now that I have them side by side I'll make the boots equal in both sides. Fingers crossed or these bitches are going back to RCV.

Finished up the gear install on my D60 today got it all together and realized I left out a 5 thou shim on the carrier hoping it doesn't really hurt anything as I don't have any way to pull the carrier bearing back off without destroying it

Have you measured each side from the face of the diff housing to the mating surface of the spindle. On mine the difference was nearly and inch - that's what motivated me to gut custom axles. Me= broken record.

I haven't measured yet.. but these worked for 5 years.. just swapped out boots and re-greased the joints. I don't see the issue. But I'll measure tonight and see.

Well... Appears I got lucky the first time. Swapped sides and it's not popping out. Talked to RCV this morning and they said they could make a longer shaft (she would love that) for $225. Luckily it appears that won't be needed. Fingers crossed. What a fucking PITA.
