On a side note for those who have had cages built what was the approx cost. I'd do it myself but I just don't trust myself to design and build one

Mines getting done for a absolutely smoking deal and we caged it from Front to Back. I provided all materials and parts for the build and just paid for the labor. Fair estimate would probably be between 3-3.5K plus materials to do the cab if its built right.

I got my registration sticker and inspection done today. I did my registration online and went ahead and just got renewed it until 2016.

The guy was walking up to the counter and I asked him if my truck passed the inspection. He gave me a puzzled look and said "Toyota's always pass...Why? Did you do something to it?" lol

Picked up my rear driveshaft today. Installed it. Filled up the transmission with some Mobil 1 75w-90. Fixed a hole in a fuel line. Most importantly the truck had the easiest start ever.

Fixed my passenger rear drum for good with new shoes and springs. Much easier than I thought with a
second set of hands to help install the shoes. Only took about and hour.

Works a treat now.

shit will start doing the same in a few months I bet.....but not a bad install. I think I"m going to start looking for an 9.5" disc braked rear.

Maybe. When the old shoes froze out of place they got bent, and I think this broke the return spring. Anyway, I'll give 'em a chance. It occurred to me I hadn't done shit as far as maintenance in 30k and with the way we treat these trucks, I should probably check on them and clean them every 10k or so to keep shit from building up in there and pushing things out of place.
