So you're saying there's a chance!
I changed the oil today after work and installed a fumoto drain valve in place of the drain plug. So hopefully this will be the last time I rust-proof my skid plate and shop floor with motor oil.
Finally fixed my Edgstar fridge....It would never work on DC so I was running it through a cig lighter inverter. Extremely inefficient. So I tore it down and found that the transformer was shot, so I bypassed the transformer completely and got it to run off of DC. Only down side is it will not run off AC now which I do not use anyway. Not bad for a free fridge freezer![]()
sounds crazy but why would the edgestar fridge use a transformer for the DC? Seems to defy every electrical law I learned me in college. Maybe that's why it never worked

Now it will run off a 12v battery charger while in the house.![]()
.....that is true.Uses the transformer for the AC to DC when plugged into 110....but the DC runs through the Transformer also. I know, weird. I just removed the burnt transformer/inverter completely and ran 12v to the main controller.

wow, those spindles are rusted to shit!
I may have left them outside :o
They should clean up with some light grit sand paper or steel wool

Oh they will. Looks good.
From an engineering standpoint, I've never understood that design. The bending resistance would be higher if the plane that is paralell with the tire was out closer to the tire (as opposed to being on the inside). I am currently impressed with the TC ones below. Having bent spindles with AP gussets, I really appreciate the vertical tab that is on the back of the spindle. From what I understand, Tom Moore of Ivan Stewart fame (suspension guy as well as the guy that built the Open cars) helped develop these for military HiLux's.

don't scratch the surface...... that's your seal against Wharton![]()
Now that's beefy
those are similar to the TC ones I bought, never installed, and sold to Craig after I sold my spare spindles
that inner spindle seal is a metal ring that is tight fitting as hell anyway, can't screw it up that much I would hopeA great reminder that AAA Platinum with towing is very cheap insurance.
That's what I need. More shit to pay for. The only thing that might save me from paying out of pocket for the trailer is the fact that it wasn't mine. I borrowed it from my uncle so it may get covered under liability. Won't know until the insurance adjuster come out.
