Sad day selling the trail rig but I can feel ya. I was on the fence, even more so to sell. But the dumbass side of me decided to keep it. Now to just dump more money into it.

I'll pour some champagne on the floor for your loss.

Nice.

83 will be out of my garage tomorrow, sold the SOB and the guy is picking it up tomorrow

Got the rear axle all back together and the pumpkin filled back up. Also changed the oil and only managed to dump about a quart on my chest in the process. Awesome. Let it idle for about 20 minutes and it didn't overheat and the gas seems good. Knock on wood. I will go buy a new fuel filter and if time allows change it. I will be pouring in some injector cleaner tomorrow and let it idle again. But the thing is ready to roll. Plan for tomorrow is to bring the trailer home and weld up those fenders and repack the bearings. So that's that.

Very nice!!!

Thank you. I also topped off my shocks and adjusted them. My favorite adjusting tool is a large screwdriver (where the diameter of the shaft is the same as the hole) with the tip cut off. What do companies want us to do with those factory tools with a shock that gets put into a coil bucket.

Got the trailer home and welded up the inner fenders on it. Also put the spare in its place with a nice heavy duty U lock on it. That was all I had time to do on it though. Took it back to the storage lot just as the skies opened up! Ran out in the rain to unhook it. Got back in the truck and I was soaked. My daughter says "Daddy you should have worn your rain jacket". I glace into my rear view mirror to see her holding it up. LOL

Finally bought and installed some new aftermarket head light housings to replace my 10 year old OEM ones. It's amazing how much better the truck looks lol

Those look like the same ones I have. I put the LED bulbs in them and I really like them. I've had them for a couple years now and they are holding up fairly well. Knock on wood.

Probably the same ones.

So lookign to build a new bed rack. There any drawback to using 2 inch angle iron vs 2 inch square tubing? Wondering if the strength would be that considerably different

Its not for rollover protection and your bed sides will crush long before the angle iron. I'll sell you a nice 1.75x.120 DOM bed rack. :)

Rob, take them back off and silicon the fuck out of them. If not, after the first rain they will be fogged to hell. Silicon all of the edges, plastic connections and any openings. I've had two pairs of these headlights and they've both the same thing. I had to take them off, bake them in the oven to get the moisture out (thanks Rich!) and then silicone them.

Well mine must be different versions. Mine are like new. Look the same though. But siliconing that shit can't hurt... unless its your butthole. Don't ask how I know. LOL

Been sitting on some for over a year now from Rock auto. Were $43 per light and came with bulbs. Quality looks good, but Ill be sealing them anyway. My old/current lights never leaked... just held to the truck with zip ties and prayers.

Cool. I built this one to be low enough for a RTT but I now want one a few inches taller and longer for more cargo. I have 80' of tubing sitting on the floor to build a new one but I haven't been inspired to do so .
