grind off the welds, drill into the center of the plug and use an 'easy-out' to get the plug out.

Hell ya- sounds like a good idea.the welds on the bolt looks pretty weak/thin, so it shouldnt be too bad to grind down then drill into it.

Fun weekend planned-
got a sander and disks- body work
a bunch of cut off disks-dremel and angle grinder- rust and stuff...
respiration mask and a bunch of other random shit

If it gives you too much trouble you could always pull the diff breather and fill it through that hole. It would be a pain and take forever but it should work.

Sure it does there are just 12 of them and the fluid comes out all at once.

I think thats the route I will go, especially since I know it takes about 2.5 qts- thanks.

It dont take long at all with one of those pumps. If you do the diff mod and have the male fitting sticking out, the hose on the pump goes right on.

welp finally got around to swapping the water pump and let me say this I took off none of the things that the FSM tells you. I took my time and 3 hours and finoot! with the new pump and T-stat truck is back to cooling like a champ!!!

Only clean thing down in there.... I also pulled both the front and rear bumpers for some wet sanding and a fresh coat of paint. I tell ya that F'n liquid brine the spray on the roads in the winter plays hell on metal...

Already said but new Cv's and brakes yesterday. Today I am going to install the air tank which is actually picture worthy . Still trying to figure out where to mount it, either under the truck, side of tool box, or in the tool box. hmmmmmm

So anyone have a suggestion, other than "under the truck", of where to mount my LED rock lights?

I'm trying to figure this out as well. Rich do you have the Vision X rock lights? Those little screws are a pain in the ass.

Killed some brain cells and rattle canned my rear bumper, rear springs, mounted my winch control box (still need a new solenoid), cleaned up some winch wiring, fixed the ground on my horn (honked when you turned the wheel , started on my rock light install, and tested my hand throttle. Fuck its hot out in the garage.

Still need to finish the main power disconnect bracket, get a battery box for my Optima, change my alternator out, pick up my wheels from Sam and mount my 37's.

Yep, but I haven't mounted them yet. I figure if I can win a grand or 2 in Vegas this week, I'll have enough cash to buy Rocrunr's 4runner. The lights would be better suited on that.

Thought about that but then realized I never use the space that I ended up putting it . I think it looks good and makes access really nice.
