So I guess it's finally time. Some things might be out of order but I'll try to keep it straight. Some projects are currently under construction but I'll put them up here and add the pics later.

So to start it's an '06 Doublecab long bed Sport that we bought with a Revtek Leveling Kit. Looked good when we bought it. Figuered I needed a truck that I could tow and haul stuff with.....plus always wanted a Tacoma.

Looks good. I like the locking center console. Now get a real lift on that thing and ARB the front, or rear, or both.:)

I look forward to seeing the bumpers. Feel free to bounce ideas off me about them. I've done a few now.

I'm a cop here in Albuquerque and when I'm not carrying on me I put my weapon in there. That is really it.

Thanks for the offer. But at the time I needed something longer because of the blocks in the back. So I had to get some cheap ass Rancho's to replace them for now. They suck but will be replaced soon enough.

No I mean, did you build it? Or is it a Tuffy box?

He added a lock to the stock center console. I think its pretty slick.

Yeah, that looks cool. Is there a "How to?".. <please don't say its on DB World> :)

I haven't seen a "how to" but I think I saw a picture of it open once over there which basically gave enough of an idea to figure it out from there. I think its just a lock through the wall and a latch on the lid. Its certainly not high security but I like the idea of it being one more security layer to keep my kids out of there (firearm) more than anything.

yeah, keeps the honest thief's out. :)

I was thinking about building a tuffy style box but then I saw his solution, seems much cleaner and I don't mind the lock on the outside.

If someone wants in there, they're going to get in there. I like it just to keep the kids and the curious out.

I really didn't find a how to on it. I saw a pic of it and just kinda figuered it out. I went to True value and picked up a cabinet lock set. It was all of like 2 bucks and used the straight piece and trimmed it a little. But then all it was is a 3/4 in hole in the outside just under the butten for the top.

So the lock really just prevents a person from pressing in the button above it then? Its not clamping into the lid right?
