Oh those will make the damage caused by that tree look MINOR!![]()
....shhhh dont talk about that. With the tail gate off I can see that the bed floor has very minor damage, easy fix. The rear quarter needs to be replaced from roughly center line of the rear tire back and around to where it meet the tail gate. I also need a tail light & tail light bucket. Let me know how that 4runner looks Randy. What are you going to do with the engine & trans put of it?
Buddy wants it for a buggy build but he is shipped out right now so i'm the one stateside going to pick it up on his behalf if its usable. Basically i'll buy it and he'll pay me for the engine/trans(not the full price but I get some other stuff off it that I can use) and I'm stuck with the rest of it frame and body basically and and whatever interior is there. I figure I can sell the frame and rear axle to someone wanting to build an F-toy. I'm harvesting driveshafts, the NP208, any steering linkages that are there, and maybe the steering box depending on which box it is. If I do pick it up I'm not real sure how I'm going to get it on the trailer with no front end.
Maybe try this guy? http://austin.craigslist.org/pts/1920125168.html
Well I got impatient waiting for a response (even though it has only been an hour) and called about that CL ad, I spoke with a lady, she said that she would take $200 for the rear sheet metal & tail light if I come out & cut it off myself. Seems pretty steep to me but I'm not sure if I am in a position to be picky. I might call her again & try to haggle her down some. I would like to go get it this weekend but what do you guys think....Is it worth $200?
I just got that guy who owns the 4runner Salvage buisiness in Garland & he said that if I came out & cut off what I needed that he would sell it to me for $40. Sounds like a hell of a deal too me. Hell of a fucking drive to Garland though, North East Dallas area. Figure thats a 3-1/2 hour drive.
So it also costs you a tank of gas, I'm sure you could get someone to go with you who is also looking for stuff and then split the gas cost.
I think it is going to be more like 2 tanks of gas. What are you doing this weekend? Wanta meet me in Garland? Keith, are you in for this trip. This guy has tons of stuff, his CL ads say "anything you could possibly need for 79-95 trucks & 4runners."
