Nice man! I can help put them on next Sunday.

Thanks for the offer, I'll see if I can wait that long. I was thinking about ripping the old ones out tonight and getting the hangers & axle cleaned up / painted.

Nice leafs Rob! Are they longer than stock?

They are bolt in, do not require re-located hangers. Quote from the instructions "Downey's super soft riding 2" lift rear spring assemblies are designed extra long and with an exaggerated arch to give maximum off road travel". Once I get them out I will measure the old ones next to these. The little plate at the bottom is for shipping only, I am supposed to replace it with my original load carrying leaf.

Murphy you plan on showing up at noon on Saturday like usual? Anybody else care to do some wrenching this weekend?

Maybe, I will have to look around. I don't remember a bracket but that doesn't mean I don't have it.

Sounds good, I vote we drop the motor in and work on the locker if we have time. 1 project at a time.

It had to happen, so why wait?

Before pic, I think I will be getting a very minor amount of lift, currently 36-1/4" from the ground.

Looking good. Good idea on the paint. Keeps everything from getting all rusty and nasty.

Thanks, I have paint all over me, lol. It's not intended to make it pretty, just don't want it rust and should also help keep dirt and mud from sticking as much.

I have that frame support. It really comes in handy when you dump that OEM bumper.

Got the springs in last night. With factory overload leaf cleaned and painted, ready to go in.

Installed
I didn't bother cleaning up the U-bolts and plates since they are going in the trash as soon as my U-bolt flip gets here.

After ride height, didn't gain anything at all, maybe a 1/4"

Springs are MUCH softer!
I couldn't do a real flex test but I did use my floor jack to feel it out. I could have gone alot furthur but I limited out my jack. I need to do a fork lift test.
I can tell you for sure that it wouldn't do this with the old springs so I am confident that the flex has improved greatly.
