Yeah, now I need to get hot on relocating the shocks before Sunday. What are you up to this weekend?

Working on Kindras car this evening, Zoies B-Day tomorrow, then Getting new tire mounted for the car Sat evening and finishing up with it so I can be free Sunday for wheeling. I can come over early Sunday morning.

Just got off the phone with Bud Built and my crossmember with 2" drivetrain lift and trans skid is ordered! He said he is alittle back logged but it should ship out by the end of next week! He even threw in a T-shirt since he tries to ship next day and can't this time. Great guy! It will still be here well before my motor mount spacers.

Nice, I wish more people would do shirts instead of stickers. But that would cost more too...lol

Me neither, but it is going to be a few weeks still, at least everything I need to buy is on the way.

It comes with stickers, he sells the T-shirts for $18 and I told him to send me one and he said he wouldn't charge me for it.

As soon as I can get the exhaust fixed really. I have a cat that I grabbed awhile back from the same 95 I got the seats out of, I just need to get it welded in and get a tail pipe made to get it past the rear axle, other than that just little stuff like a license plate light. Maybe next weekend, I feel comfortable enough to drive it to BVORR without inspection since I have everything else already.

I screwed this up but will post about it anyways. I relocated my rear shocks and put the U-bolt flip on last weekend. Makes perfect sence to me now that I should have mounted the shock eyes perpendicular to each other to allow for front to back axle movement. I'm not sure how I am going to fix it but I'll come up with something. Also looks like I need some longer shocks anyways, these are still limiting me from drooping very far.

Upper mount I made - very solid.

Tabs welded to the axle the wrong way, they should run across the axle instead of parrallel to it.

All welded and painted.

Here is a pic that I liked. Tire stuffs great, wish the other side would droop farther.

Those are cheap, the problem is going to be that if I mounted them at an angle then the holes wouldn't line up. I'm still trying to come up with an idea for that.

What if you mount the top of the shock perpendicular (so the shock bolt is running the same direction as the support bar) under the top support bar? You might loose a little up-travel but you could compensate by moving them in a little. You could then leave the bottom axle tube mounts as is. This way as the axle moves back and forth in its natural arc the top bolt will follow that travel and the bottom bolt is already setup for side to side travel.

Disregard.. it could be done but the shock would be a pretty steep angle and the inner mounts would be damn near 4" long.

That might be a better option, as for loosing the uptravel I am going to have to add a shackle so I will be loosing some anyways. Tire rubs like crazy when it stuffs. First thing I need to do is pull the shocks off and test it on a forklift. I will try and get that done tomorrow.
