Disregard.. it could be done but the shock would be a pretty steep angle and the inner mounts would be damn near 4" long.

I know they would be long mounts, but the shocks could mount pretty hig still. I'll play around with it. Thanks for all the advise. Maybe mounting them at an angle was a mistake,

Well there has to be a way.. people mount them like that all the time. Maybe without 63" Chevy leafs or the 56" Marlin/TG/AP leafs you will be fine. But I do know that the shock has to be able to pivot front to rear during cycling of the suspension, now how much it has to pivot obviously depends on the vehicle. Fuck it.. just wheel it until something binds or breaks.

I hate fixing electrical shit! O'well, license plate lights works now. All I have left is too install the cat I got and get a new tail pipe made & I SHOULD be able to pass inspection.

I agree, the only problem is that Electrical requires my thinking skills which are usually impaired while we're wrenching.

I already registered it, do I have to have it registered as a classic?

I called around and found a place I thought would pass my 4runner and took it up there at lunch. The lady who inspected it didn't give a shit! Soooo the runner is now 100% legal for the street. I did have a problem heading back to work though, not sure if I will be able to drive it home or not, it is either a locked up brake or a wheel bearing. It pulls hard one way and you really have to rev it to get it moving, . Looks like I know what I'm doing after work.

It means you can get around a lot of emissions crap as well as getting cheaper insurance if its not driven much

There is no smog testing around here anyways, I cannot imagine insurance being any cheaper than it is already.

As far as this locking up brake thing goes I went outside at break time and picked the truck up with the forklift and all of the wheels seem to spin freely? I drove it around for a few minutes and all of the symptoms where gone? Not sure what to thing so I guess I will drive it around a bunch tonight and see if it will repeat. I did lay into the breaks really hard one time right before it happened, maybe that has something to do with it?

When I say emissions stuff I mean you could get away with no cats on a visual inspection. And I think the classic car coverage is really only usefull to people who have full coverage and their vehicle is insured at a fixed value of replacement.
