I think I like the quick and dirty bumper idea. It could be awhile before I get around to building a nice rear bumper and it would be nice to have something to get me by for awhile. I might remove the tail gate but It is not as easy as a trucks. The wiring for the back window and license plate light is a bit of a PITA.

I installed the axle shims last night, for only being 4 deg. they made a noticeable difference in the angle of the diff.

Yeah but they where a pain to install because I basicaly had to drop the axle low enough to get the shims and longer spring center pins in. I do like the design as better than the ones in your truck now because they aren't going anywhere, they where just a little more difficult to install. It took me about 2 hours start to finish, I'm sure we can do yours faster.

I tried to work on fixing my exhaust last night since it is off the truck already. I grabbed the cat off of the 91 4runner I got the seats out of awhile back, but it doesn't look like I am going to be able to make it work. The damn thing is just too big. If I put it up there then it would only be about an inch away from my transmission and I really don't want the extra heat making my trans hot. I am going to have to take it to the shop to have the muffler relocated and all new hangers made for it anyways so I am considering just buying this.

CARB - Should be KARB!!! Their BS adds something like $5k to a Nat Gas system that you can buy in Mexico for $1k. Fucking politicians!

Probably will, I am going to focus on getting it back together and installing the gears for now and worry about the exhaust next week. I can tell you that I am going to have to RIG it to get to the exhaust shop, creativeity will be required. If I cannot find anything that will work at the parts store then I might just use metal coat hangers to hold the exhaust up untill I can get it to the shop.

this will work, hell I've used them and a tourch to weld the exaust back up before.

New trans mount finally showed up.

The bad news is that the shifter linkage bracket did not make it, so another weekend is going to go by with the 4runner disabled in the garage. At least I have plenty of other things to work on.
