Yotarob's 86 4runner build

Good update Rob. Totally sucks about those Downey leafs though! As for the leafs and spring hanger issues.. I have a solution. 63" Chevy's and Sky's install kit. :)

I know, but since I have officially given up on keeping this thing nice, I really want to bob it. The 63's are so fucking long that it really limits how much you can bob the bed. I am still working on a decent compromise and may very well end up with the chevy springs but we will see. For now mine are DONE! I hate to do it but I got the All-pro springs for free and the are in decent shape, I am going to let them get me by for awhile while I make up my mind. Its better than swapping in different springs twice.

I hear ya.. those 63's a super long. I have the 56" TG 3" leafs out back and they are long. Do you know how much lift those AP's are supposed to provide?

I have no clue how much lift for the AP springs, but the truck they where on sat high as hell. If it is too high for my 4runner then I will either throw sand bags or fat bitches in the back, lol

Nice. I assume you've wheeled your rig at BVORR already, how'd it do?
Its a freakin billy goat, point in direction and it goes!
I flopped it last weekend but was a soft landing, only broke a mirror. Actually, have plans on selling it fairly soon, got plans and ideas for the Tacoma and want to get back intowheeling it. Anybody interested?

Yea I know, I kinda asked myself the same thing. I have way too many irons in the fire and to be honest I really enjoy wheeling the Taco more. I'm doing some things to the Taco but not SASing it (yet). I got a deal on front and rear diffs with gears and lockers ready to go, so those are going in this week. 35s are most likely in the future as well.

Too Many Irons? Isn't that a requirement in this hobby? :D

Rob, I may have some Downey's if you want them, pay the shipping! :D Let me know.

Well I threw the AP springs in and all I can say is damn they are stiff! Lifted the rear end up about 3" from where it was with the bent downey's. I guess they are meant to be front springs and are heavier to carry the weight of the motor? The 4runner rides like a tank know.

Cleaned them up

I am going to try removing a leave and see if that helps, and If not I will take you up on those Downey springs, thanks.
