LMAO, that is exactlly what I was thinking. If it is carb. I would def. get a Weber carb kit for it. I eliminated 95% of the vacuume lines on my old 22r & it ran much better.

that is deff going to happen regardless

Yeah, I was joking. If I do anything it will be a rebuild, junkyard or 4.3 chevy swap.

The biggest problem with the 4.3 swap is that you need at least 3" of Body Lift to get the distibutor clerance you need at the transmission tunnel. Even with 3" of BL it is still a very tight fit & hard to access the distributor. A buick 3.8L has a forward mounted distibutor making for a much easier swap. A 3.4L Toyota would be my first choice for an engine swap.

I was reading on Pirate about a guy who did a 4.3 swap and modified his firewall to clear the distributor. No body lift.

Not saying it isn't doable, but must have he must have cleranced the hell out of it, and probablly has to pull the motor to replace the distributor cap.

LOL.. well lets just say I used the word "4Runner" liberally... not much left of it. :) http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=673780 BUT, the firewall and motor did have to be clearanced just like you would on any other motor swap. But look at this thing.. the craftsmanship is 2nd to none.

My god that is a serious build he has going on there. I agree about the craftsman ship being top notch.

I think this truck has a BL, I'm pretty sure there is going to be some redneck rigging that will have to be removed/redone.

Yeah, I think he's Wichita Falls. When I win the lottery I'll have that dude build my rig. :D

Me either.. I always say "when I win the lotto".. but truth is.. I think the lotto is a tax on people who are bad at math. :)

Have not. Last time I wheeled was with the old tires. I have a few other issues that I vowed to get worked out before I wheeled the creampuff again. It will be out on the trail next weekend for the TX4WD night run at BVORR.

cant wait to see what ntb says when they get there hands on it trying to make the wheels point the same way

NTB won't say anything b/c I'm not taking it to them. Gonna use a small mom & pop type place where they align it the old fashion way.
