Can you record while having them plugged in yet? That's why I never bought one a few years ago when the 4 was the newest one. Woukdnt record while the battery was charging.

The battery life is supposed to be better; but that exact spec I have not checked. Will check and reply.
Updated - yes; the 5 and newer are supposed to be able to get non-computer power and record. A few people say it works easier if you take the battery out first but it does appear to be a resolved issue.
