Since installing my rear lower arms the rear axle squeaks really bad when driving. I am thinking greaseable bolts is the best option. Anyone know a reason why I would not want to do greasable bolts?

That's Mr Asshole to you
Have you tried removing the bolts and covering them in antissieze or silicone? I was getting squeaks from mine when I installed the link skids. Tightened the bolts more and all good now.

Not yet. Probably should do something like that first but grease able bolts sounds better.

So long as the strength of the new serviceable bolt meets or exceeds that of the OE bolt go for it. The key is to find the correct load rating (shear/tension/compression/etc.).

I was thinking of the same thing after having to cut out my front LCA lower shock mount bolt. After some investigation OE is the only bolt I could find to handle the loads and has the same shape.

My headlight bulbs went out the other day so I decided to upgrade to some LEDs since I was having to replace them anyways. I also plan to get rid of the DRLs so hopefully I stop burning through bulbs so damn fast. My sammich maker has been running these bulbs in her Tacoma for a while now and really likes them.

The LED is on the left, the standard bulb is on the right. The LEDs are the Cougar Motor LED off of Amazon.

Let me know how they work out, I need to replace mine soon. I bought a used OEM headlight and just left the bulb in since the other one was smashed. It’s slightly off color wise from the other side and it’s starting to bug me.

Love them so far. I need to adjust them a bit better but it was late and I was trying to get done. I will probably readjust them later this weekend if I can get my front raised about an inch. For the $50 they cost if I can get a year or two out of them I will be happy.

So I just ordered a Rocky Mtn Matterhorn roof rack to put on my 4Runner. Then there will be the Roam batwing awning to go on the side of it. Before all that happens I need to swap a CV axle, raise the front suspension about 3/4", and get an alignment after putting the bumper on. I have finishing up the winch controller install and getting the synthetic line on somewhere in there too. lol

Just need a few more hours in the day or a few more days in the weekends.

Hell I'd be happy with 4- 10 hour work days. Rest on Friday, then have Sat-Sun to do what you want to.

I asked about going to 4 tens at work a few years ago. My boss said he would try it out and report back how he liked it. lol

I work the 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off and telework at home if no meetings to attend.

I should be able to have same schedule with the new gig, but probably no more telework.

They did this before at my work, but like all great things in life, some assholes took advantage of it which ruined it for everyone.

Just read the whole thread .. nice is all I can say.

Thanks, it is a slow budget work in progress. So far it has been a nice mix of capable and daily driver. The greatest thing is next month it is completely paid off.

I have a 3rd gen I'm building as well, maybe I should make a build thread on here

Do not forget pictures are always a plus and can be loaded either to the post itself or into a gallery and then linked. If you load them to a gallery you can also post them to other forums as well.
