Let me see, everything lol. Don't know if I will act on it but money talks.

I know a 3rd gen guy in the Houston area that might want in on a part out.

I am still 50/50 on a high clearance rear bumper. I am still trying to watch my curb weight as much as possible. But if it was cheap enough I would be hard pressed to pass it up.

Since yours has half the miles as Zech's I vote Zech buy the whole rig and put his supercharger on it plus a few more things.

You need a silver one to fit in anyhow. We won't make you drive in the back of the pack if you have a silver vehicle.

Shot a few coats of paint on the awning mounts tonight. Everything worked together for the test fitting so hopefully it all bolts together easily tomorrow when I get home.

The awning came with two simple L brackets with a couple of holes in them. I needed a but for adjustability for when I do and do not have the RTT mounted so I made a beefier version of the L bracket. The camera angle hides it but there is a gusset inside the 90 degree angle to help brace the load.

So my rear shocks are worn out after 150k miles on them. I ordered some basic Fox 2.0 rear shocks to get me along until I can do a full upgrade front and rear. These shocks will still work for my lift and ride needs (and be a world better than worn out shocks).

Now just need that brown truck Santa to hurry up...

I hope yours lasts longer than mine did... I've still got em sitting in a box in my garage. They both need a rebuild.

How long did they last?
40k miles maybe? Too many beers ago to remember correctly lol But they were blown well before that 40k. They also rode like shit.

New shocks went on pretty uneventful. Although the 3rd gen 4Runner has to have one of the dumbest top bolt designs ever. It is in a bowl of sorts with just a little access from inside the frame rails and below the cabin. Just dumb.

But here are some pics. The ToyTec Bilsteins have over 100k miles on them and were pretty shot when I took them off. I was able to compress them up and down with one hand. The Fox shocks are their 2.0 Performance Series (stock upgrade ish). Their is a pretty decent difference in weight and size between these shocks. The Foxes are much beefier.

Plus the black and silver matches the rest of my rig. lol

You want it. There's nothing better than not having to worry about dragging your ass end down a trail. I used to be in the same boat as you until I got my high clearance. Now I won't run anything else.

My issue is I get into the rear cargo area at least 3 times daily for work. I do not know if i want to add the swing out to the list of things to mess with.

Yeah you can pass on the rear tire carrier but not the protection. Or you could get a tire carrier that's easily removable and take it off when you aren't wheeling? Food for thought?

The removable idea is something I have thought about with the Schrockworks tire carrier setup. It might take a little work to put it on but I would really only do so a handful times each year.

Had an odd light scraping coming from the newish EBC brake pads on the driver's side and a clunk when moving from a dead stop yesterday in Ft Worth. When I got home today I investigated to find a bent wear indicator (which is now gone due to crappy metal not wanting to bend twice) and a CV with ~10* play by hand.

I can rotate the CV middle by hand forward/backwards enough to get a light ping and in/out to get a similar sound. So next Sunday I am swapping out both CVs. The passenger side blew a boot a while back and I didn't care enough at the time to swap it. It happens.

Just a 130 miles short of 300,000 miles the 4Runner got a nice upgrade. The CVT awning looks great, setups up pretty easy (a lot easier with two people), and is decently lightweight. Now to change the sparkplugs and weld on the 2nd part of the rear trac bar correction kit.

Installed the Transgo shift kit on the truck setting today. Also replaced the shift solenoids too. So far it is a much needed improvement to get rid of the "soccer mom" shifts. I have a small leak to resolve but it should be knocked out pretty quick.

Also picked up a tablet and am testing it out for BCN use. The tablet mount works great.

Mileage: 265,000 roughly

---removed info not relevant to update ---

3- Install auto transmission shift kit/ new solenoids

So right at 300,000 miles the solenoids had problems again. Will see what is going on with them real soon when I drop that pan.
