Would ... ngl prob gonna buy a bronco when they come out if they have the 2.7

I would with 3.5 eco boosh, but I’m not a fan of that new 10speed transmission

The one in my bosses truck seems to do just fine so far. Only time will tell

Dear Toyota, Making a concept truck that makes pizzas and creating a TRD version of a RAV4 is some pretty dumb shit to do.. you have hit a new low. Sincerely, Sad Tacoma Owner

Toyota is traditionally behind the ball when it comes to tech. I understand only wanting to install/sell things that are considered bullet-proof reliable. I still don't understand why a turbo is not standard on every vehicle off the line. Not a performance turbo, just a turbo. They have been around for decades and are not a new concept. Ford has made the leap and it seems to be paying off well for them.

IMHO, improving the efficiency of the vehicles produced is a simple answer.

The folks hauling RVs(forums)don’t like it compared to the 6speed, they say it searches for gears or takes a few seconds to find the correct gear, I’m glad I don’t have the 10, many wish they kept their older model F150 3.5 eco boosh

Those same people probably bitched about the 350/400 when they replaced the powerglides or the 4-speed auto when it replaced the 3-speed etc etc. there are always bugs to work out.

If they can make a solid performing truck that does not hunt for the power band and gets good MPG then they will win. That is a big IF though

It’s supposed to be a low end torque work mule. They stepping away from the duel overhead cams and narrowing up the block. Should be pretty healthy if it’s anything like the old 390’s or 460’s.
Supposed to be a step closer to a diesel without the extra cost associated With it.

Well I hope they announce this new PW fighter in the next 4-6 months or so.

The 3.5 would make the Bronco a pretty sweet rig. But that is a pipe dream.
And a solid front axle, I’d rather see a full size Bronco with a 3/4 ton option like they did for a short time in the late 90’s rocking the 6.7 I got in my 250.

Regarding Toyota "rock solid" dependability..........don't forget the last 20+ years of small dumbed down North American pick ups had defective frames. Sure they stood by their products but that doesn't make the issues disappear.

Thousands of people across North America still lost a great deal of time and money.....and some made a living taking advantage of this for a short time.
