Come on.. he isn't following TardWorlds new cool. That's a pure guess but I'm pretty sure its spot on as to the new cool thing to do over there. Had some guy follow me the other day in a lifted Taco with green halos on during the day time. Yes it was different.. but I'm sure his boyfriend loved it and was holding his junk as they drove.

You really need to come to Jambo next year. Some of the trucks there will make you hurt laughing.

I'll do my best to make it since I won't be going to Colorado or Moab again for awhile. :(

I have no idea what Tardworlds cool is. I only post over there to sell stuff or buy stuff.

I have no idea either... I just would suspect something like that to be it.

Judging by what I see in Instagram the cool thing now is to get 14" wide wheels and stretch a 12inch tire on them. Then light bars stacked on top of light bars.

ya ol fart!

Older generation always thinks they had better taste in style and work ethic. Thats why I know I'm becoming an old fart. Got no patience for millennials and their BS.

Well most definitely work ethic.. style.. well I was in high school in the early 80's so I had a mullet... so I can't say much about style. LOL

Ordered some soft shackles from Southeast Overland and some metal shackles off Amazon.

Steve (owner of SE overland) was telling us about his guys cutting the thick synthetic line on the jig they have at his shop to make them... funny as heck. His workers (especially one in particular) kept slapping his nutz with the rope as it flies back. I was almost in tears. Blood sweat and busted balls go into making them lol

I need to pick up a couple of soft shackles to throw in my 4Runner. I am tired of hearing the metal ones clank when I make a turn.

Yeah I got these to use on recovering people off their sliders or my sliders more so than to replace the steel shackles.

The most common recovery for me is to pull people out of the ditch. I have pulled 4 or 5 people this year so I keep a strap and shackles in my 4Runner now. If I can drop one of the shackles and keep some soft shackles in there it will work for me. I try to go hitch-to-hitch when the other vehicle has one; but some of the vehicles did not.

Its not metal.. if something goes sideways and it flies back.. it won't.. provided you are running synthetic line. That's one. Secondly is that its easier to store.
