Its not metal.. if something goes sideways and it flies back.. it won't.. provided you are running synthetic line. That's one. Secondly is that its easier to store.

X2

and it can be mounted to a wide variety of objects when compared to a metal shackle. Only real downfall is you shouldn't use it on anything with sharp corners very often. I'd be weary to use it on anything that could cut it and in due time it is a wear item that will eventually fail just like any shackle.

Check out 9:35 for my soft shackle in action.

I'm retarded. I forgot you made em and I actually wanted this longer version of the shackle. PM incoming

A lot of people are going braided line to thimble and then thimble to hook or shackle.

I don't have a hook on my synthetic line, just a Factor 55 ProLink. Will probably swap out to a flat link though. Sucks I spent the $$ on the ProLink though.

My wife drove my truck all weekend while we were moving since I was driving my families F250 (8' long bed FTW). She is now calling it her truck...I guess I should be worried. :)

Be very worried! That is what started in me losing my Tacoma. I got a 4Runner out of the deal but now my wife is talking about getting pink seat covers for the Tacoma.

Yeah that'll never happen to me. My wife's too cheap to spend money on anything lol

New brakes. OEM rotors with EBC Greenstuff pads. Screw all that "slotted & drilled" performance crap.

The brake pad is completely gone on one of them due to the clip breaking and rubbing.

Swapped out my CV axle boot last night. Ended up fixing and greasing all my components as well.

After seeing what the issue probably was, it looks like this aftermarket boot lost it's triangular shape after awhile and it would no longer seal around the axle shaft. I installed the Porsche 903 boot from SDHQ. Hopefully it'll hold up for longer than this one did.

Took off my engine cover a few months ago and have been tracking the temperature of the engine since then to see if it made a difference. My truck runs anywhere from 1-2° cooler without the engine cover on.
