Which headunit did you go with?

Forgot I ordered these. lol Took a couple of extra weeks to get in due to the Hurricane. Beefy as hell. Hope they fit! I won't be using the rubber bushings since I have a set of OME bushings for that.

I still need to order these. Figure I have enough projects as it is. Maybe in December... maybe.

Installed the URD MAF computer. One of the easiest installs ever.
Butt Dyno thinks it feels better shifting at full throttle but time will tell.

Plug and play now. I don't think they offer the splicing one anymore due to how many people messed up their harness (what I'm assuming).

I have not seen that one- what is it supposed to fix?
Works during open loop, basically at idle or at full throttle, it adjusts the timing. At full throttle it seems to be more responsive bc the ECU isn't just dumping a ton of fuel in.

Think that's the same one I was looking at. I'll get around to it someday. Maybe this spring.
It's ok. It doesn't have the greatest/prettiest/efficient interface around. I'm still learning all the tricks it has. I need to reread the owners manual on it.

Best way I can describe it is at idle (the truck's just sitting there) the exhaust always smelled rich like it was getting too much fuel. So the computer adjusts that Air/Fuel ratio at idle (open loop).

Then at full throttle, pedal to the floor (open loop), I could count 1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi, 3 Mississ- and then the power would kick in. It was really pissing me off when I came up to a zipper merge or when I needed to pass someone. With the computer, it seems that the response time is way faster and is a little better controlled.

Disclaimer...I've only had it for a day so I'll need more time to determine if it was worth it or not. I know once I get an exhaust and retune it, it'll be worth it for sure. @thekidcatcher has one and he loves it.

I've had a bad rattle coming from the front of the engine bay. Haven't been able to track it down since it turned out to be the damn hood strut! lol no wonder I couldn't find it since the strut was holding up the hood while I was looking for the source of the rattle! :roflmao:I'm so happy that's what the issue is since it sounded so bad in the first place. Gotta order a new plastic retaining piece for it.

Also, temporarily fixed the 4 gauge power wire that goes to the fuse of my auxiliary fuse panel. It had managed to pull itself partways out of the connector despite being crimped and shrink wrapped. Color me impressed. lol I ordered a bunch of parts on Amazon this morning to fix it since I don't seem to have any 4 gauge connectors or shrink wrap left dammit.

Last time I filled up on a nearly empty tank I got 313 miles out of it. Typically I get around 290-300 miles. But that's all the info I have on it right now. But at full throttle it feels like it shifts better and doesn't lag like it used to.

So are you running Cats? Reason I got it was because I may have removed mine and can't have the idiot light on for my inspections.

I'm still running the stock exhaust. It's on my to-do list to get rid of. Planning on replacing it with the URD exhaust. URD sells O2 simulators that plug into the OEM harness to make sure that light stays off.

I will. I just haven't ran the tank dry since I've installed it. I've been filling up at a half a tank mostly when I run to the grocery store for something.

You know what - thats what I bought. It's been so long since I did all the research and bough the stuff I have to back track and do it all over again because I forgot. This month was 5 years since I noticed the engine had a fatal flaw (engine started acting up same weekend hurricane Sandy hit us - should of let the truck float when it did hit us). Ive prob been sitting on those parts for 6 years lol
