Yessir. Group 65? Biggest one that'll fit. And I do a lot of stopping and starting plus the E-fan stays on for a bit after I turn off the truck. So that adds up over time. I'm still thinking of how to wire up a relay to kill power to the fan when I turn the truck off. All the wiring is too thick to pass into a stock fuse.

Exactly.. get a small solar panel and a solar controller... done. Solar panel on top, controller under the lid or ?? run output to the battery. No dead battery and its always topped off.

I will be buying a new battery for the Taco, I pulled out that Duralast Gold out this morning after I jumped in yesterday to move the truck and it didn't start. Charged the battery all night thinking I left a light on or something plugged in, Nope pulled the battery and its time to replace....manufactured October 2011

I got my pennies worth!

I could not believe it, the battery was still under warranty 5 years, $28.58 towards prorated.
I bought the same battery again;
Duralast Gold Battery, 710 CCA, 890 CA, 165 reserve minutes

After 10% off for Veteran discount , total of $101.96 with the corrosion rings and little pack of dielectric grease.

Then a rebate printed off for another $20, and $20 is $20, so my new 5yr battery will cost $81.96

Those duralast golds are ok if you don't have a sound system in your truck. I went through three of them IIRC before I got the Platinum.

My backup battery is a Platinum and I usually carry a jumpstart as well.

This was my issue with them when I had a system back in high school.

Thinking I'm going to try the Duracell Platinum AGM from Sam's Club. Put it in the factory location and pull my Odyssey to save for a dual battery setup this spring.
