Regardless of what I do it's going to be Christmas time before I do any suspension mods. The coils would get me by in the mean time. Like I said it's a temporary solution and easier than swapping out leafs.

Got it topless and gutless. Only thing left in it is the front seats and dash. Put a battery on it to see what worked and didn't. There's a lot more that doesn't work than there is that does work. Looks like it's going to be an electrical mess. Glad my dad is an electrician. I'd probably burn the motherfucker to the ground trying to get it all working.

How much electrical does it have? Only electrical I can think of in mine is the motor, dash, lights, and rear window.

Most of what it has is aftermarket switches and such. And whoever ran the wires didn't try to hide them or anything. They just ran them right down the sides and across the floor boards. I just need to figure out what is and isn't supposed to be there for starters.

Oh. Good luck with that crap. I'm lucky mine was unmolested before I got it. Although I do need to get a radio for that thing. Long drives are getting kinda boring.

Yeah mine is radioless too. Thought maybe the stock one out of my truck would fit but I don't think it will.

If you need some help working on it let me know. I should have a couple of free weekends later this month and in August.

If you need to compare wiring or anything at least mine is right down the road so you can compare it so one side by side.

I plan to swap the engine late August so I'll have a few people over to help if they want.

I bought a Chilton's today so I have wiring diagrams. I just don't know how to read them lol.

Gut all the wiring and start over with it, you'll be very happy you did later when you're not fight some hack ass wiring job from the previous owner. I'd leave only things that are essential to the vehicle running and leave the rest out purely for simplicity sake.

Yeah - I picked one up too. Somethings are clear as day in there. Somethings make no damn sense.

Just let me know when things get closer for the engine. Never done it before but I owe you a few days of help on your rig.

Have a shop or garage to work in??? August isn't the best month to be a shade tree mechanic.

Yup got a 30x40 shop out back. No A/C but its got fans and a good breeze when all the windows are open. Even in August! Plus it's out of the sun.

I've never done it either with a 22RE but I've done a few 5.3 Chevys.
