That is very impressive! I've done my fair share of r&p damage over the years, but that is very impressive!!!

Oh, I like what you did with the diff.. Damn, how many blues that actually see the trail now? 3?

True that. I'm poor.
And nice build! It takes nothing for those back bumpers to peel off.

...if I manage to grenade that, the whole fucking axle is coming out from under the truck and something 9" or larger is going in. This will be addressed, one way or another.
What front bumper are you going with? ATO?
Thank you, and yes, so I noticed.
Front bumper in the very near future
You could actually lift a chunk of the ring gear right off the carrier like a puzzle piece. It sheared the mounting bolt as well. We were all trying to figure out how the fuck that happened at less than 500 RPM. I guess 4Lo/1st gear puts out some torque?Anyway, these 8.4" e-locked rear ends are too fucking thin for this truck...and it's hilarious when you pull one of the diffs apart because the pinion is fucking enormous. Regearing to thick cut 4.56s with the smaller pinion in the near future...if I manage to grenade that, the whole fucking axle is coming out from under the truck and something 9" or larger is going in. This will be addressed, one way or another.
i thought the elocker rear end was 8" and the open diff on the sport and other tacoma's were 8.4"?![]()
They are all 8" ring gears - the 8.4 is just beefier with a 'girdle' to keep the unit more solid under load. And yes, I too am now convinced that the elocker should be placed in Prius' and Simplicity riding lawnmowers!![]()
group buy on Currie 9"'s?
