Frack me..
Been working on this for over a year, a little here and a little there. Never started a build thread, but felt like starting one now.

First week of ownership..

Ok, rear Bumper pictures.. Bumper courtesy of Greg (BirdTRD).. Jeff and I put it on (MetalMiller).. It is a little to one side, not sure how to fix that just yet.. Bianca already wants to Powder coat the damn thing.. So Far, I like it. Time to go Scratch it up!
IMAG0123.jpg

Just a little bit of cutting, nothing major.. I did melt one of my $50.00 led lights.. :( Guess I should have moved them first..

I've had what we've called the Denny Plate before... You take the plate and put it in where the sliding rear window is. Fits like a charm! :)

No you get extra redneck points for using a torch to cut the bottem of your bed

The rear plate on my 4Runner is zip tied to the spare tire carrier, no light... yet

Bumper looks good man. I didn't know you were getting the one that Greg made

Yeah, I liked it and the price was right. Miller wanted to make copies of it so we basically split the cost.

x2.. thats funny!

But the bumper looks good! Where did you end up buying those lights from?

I got them from a friend at Philpott Ford.. Let me look online and see if I can find a similar deal for you. It appears I am locked out of my PC this morning, can't access Email or any of my work via my laptop or Citrix even! Freaking cleaning people left a mouse pad on top of the "Enter" key and it was getting login errors all weekend, so the system locked me out thinking it was getting hacked.

Hey, I've just found this thread. I'm so disappointed the bumper wasn't centered on your truck!!! It was dead straight on mine. Apparently, there is some discrepancy from truck to truck. If I was ever to make another one for somebody, I'd definitely leave a little wiggle room between the mounts and the frame. Perhaps even to the point that spacer(s) would be needed to make it tight.

Did Jeff ever do anything with the design? I haven't heard if he's building them or not.

BTW, a friggin' torch next to your lights?! Easy, Rambo. :o

I used a grinder for mine.

Room for adjustment would be a good idea.. no worries Greg. I will get around to correcting it someday as a "first thing I weld" project. Found a glossier pant too Bianca likes.
