If you ever feel unloved by me Sean just remember that mimicry is flattery. Most of my early truck decisions were based on what you had done to your rig lol

We are good man.

I've learned the hard way to wear gloves when handling expanded metal...Sliced myself clean open once and spent 15 minutes in a Race Track bathroom trying to stop the bleeding with paper towels....Now that I think about it, that probably wasn't the most sanitary place to take an open wound into.

I will have to defer to @SecretSquirrel for more info. I did notice a better breeze/wind in the RTT than on the ground. The windows were left completely open without any issues in the bad weather so it would take some pretty crazy weather or bad temps to make me close them up.

Now 100 degree temps are another issue.
Still sucks.

If you've got electric onsite, get a fan or put a portable ac unit in the annex

If the temps are upper 90s I will not camp. We do have a fan for the tent that makes it pretty nice when the temps drop a little.

The last couple days camping at Caddo lake, mid 90's was completely miserable, not much wind moving through thick cover/trees and we had batt fans and I bought a 20" box fan from dollar Store, total suc

In the Rkansas mountains the temps were 10 degrees less and with a breeze, much better!

If I'm setting up the trip Ill only book sites by rivers or lakes I can swim in. Water makes or breaks a hot weather trip. Last year on a trip it was so hot and the river so low we decided to not kayak and instead spent the day in our chairs in the middle of the river drinking.

Sounds like what we did at Long Ranch many moons ago. Then a bunch of the drunks decided to just float down the river and ended up at some bridge several miles away and had to call and have someone go pick them up. lol

Too bad Randy only had 19 bullets and forgot to shift his truck into 4WD that night lol

They have pulled 12' gators out of the rivers up in Dallas/ Ft Worth area. The little creek by Glen Rose had a 6' gator pulled out of it a few years ago by the bridge my Dad built. I am much more careful around murky water now. I grew up swimming and fishing that same spot where they pulled the gator.

F that noise. You will never see me moving down that way now. All I like in winter is snow and all I like is summer is water thats safe from predators.

Up here in the NE I only have to worry about poison snakes, bears, bobcats, Lynx, Cougar, Wolves, and Moose. Coyotes like to surround us at night, but they are not a worry.
