So did mine. All my coffee stains disappeared and all I did was spray it down with a hose.

I actually shampooed mine while it was out and easy to clean. Also did my apt carpets while I had the steamcleaner rented for the day. Now that I think about it that's the only time I've ever cleaned the carpet in my truck since I've had it. the only thing that still hasn't come clean since is the speaker grills. Haven't found something the efficiently cleans in those little holes.

Funny you should say that. Mine are also still clogged. My lower driver side is full of crap and so are the tweeters on both sides from driving with the windows down. I gotta think the only way to really clean them is by removal otherwise it's going to take way to long to try cleaning every hole.

Well I actually did remove my door panel and clean behind it. But I didn't want to just spray the door panel with a hose since it does have some electronic switches in it. A toothbrush works... But I am nowhere near that bothered by a little dirt to use a toothbrush to scrub all that clean.

Since we can talk about it here without David Fucking K creaming all over the thread:

Re: A-TRAC:

It's pretty damn good. The two guys I wheel with most are both locked front and rear and I can only recall one instance where I had trouble and they didn't. In that particular instance I was last in line and they both dug it out for me before I got to the obstacle; I maintain that that was the source of the issue.

The whole "better/worse" argument needs to go by the wayside in my opinion. It's just a different way of doing things. Lockers are the old school solution to the traction-imbalance problem. A-TRAC is one new school approach. They are both very effective at solving the problem. They have different advantages and disadvantages...lockers are a little more controlled, but don't steer as well. Lockers are full torque and therefore arguably more likely to bind and break something, whereas A-TRAC is partial torque.

Rear Locker/Front A-TRAC will get these trucks anywhere they should be going while full-bodied on 35" or smaller tires. If you're running something more serious than that, the argument then becomes whether or not you're still driving a Tacoma.

OH, and nice build ;)

I think it would be cool to tap into the atrac system with 4 switches, one for each wheel, so that you can effective lock one or more wheels on your command. Haven't done much research into it but I'm sure someone more electrically involved could effectively create electronic individual brake control within the atrac system, which could be nice in some tight spots.

Uh...this is what the system does....I'm perfectly happy just letting it do so automatically. Turning it off or on is the only control over the system you really need. Why you would need to lock a single wheel is beyond me...traction aids are and always have been about solving traction imbalance problems across diffs. Either lock the whole differential up or leave it alone.

How about some rear steer for tight spots... or KY.

I think your missing my point. I don't want it locked. I'm thinking of electronic cutting brakes to do front digs at the flip of a switch instead of the pull of a lever.

Not locked = turn it off.

But I see your point.. you want to be able to give power to whatever wheel you want.. only the front left.. or the rear right. But honestly, thats stupid. lol

Funny they do make something like this, it's called a twin stick transfer case. (oh still requires the requisite lockers F/R)

For something my truck came stock w, I think atrac is still better than open diffs most others come with. I still don't think I've ever been in a situation a front locker would of helped me out with where the atrac didn't help.

The Truth

x3...I can't think of a situation where individual wheel control helps me.

It's better than everything but front and rear lockers for sure... I can attest to that. I would absolutely take a truck with A-TRAC and no lockers over a truck with a rear locker only. Whether or not its on par with front and rear lockers depends on how you feel about the advantages/disadvantages of each system. For what it's worth, lockers have been proven for about 40 years now. A-TRAC doesn't quite have that kind of history.

The nice thing about the 09+ offroads is there's still a genuine locking differential in the ass. If you have that on the rear and A-TRAC on the front and still can't get up whatever you're fucking with, you probably need to turn around before you break something.

On that same note I can do a ton with open diffs..lol
But Im still getting lockers :shifty:

This is what usually gets me in trouble, most of the guys I wheel with are axle swapped rigs, and buggies on 37" or better tires. On the trails we run turning around 9 times out of 10 isn't an option.
