Only problem they don't hold up in wind very well

I saw that as well. Might be fun for the backyard when the family wants to do a Saturday night camp out. My other tents I'm sure take longer to setup and take down.

@tex what bumper did you buy? Also where did you buy the tent from?

About the smittybilt trailer. One thing I noticed and its hard to tell... but it appears that the "frame" only goes back to the point where the trailing arms start.. after that its just some sort of unibody thing. Even the rear mounted shackles are only rated to 600 lbs since they are not mounted to a 2x3 box section of steel. Also, the tongue bolts to the tub assembly. Which could be a point of failure especially on some nasty washboard roads or if you are putting the trailer in a bind. So.. those are things that would need to be addressed. Again I want to see some better pics and reviews... and I'd love to see one up close in person. I am thinking that a person could always reinforce that frame section all the way to the back if need be.

There is an ez up tent, I seen them out on outings and they seem to hold up well with rain and winds, one troop bought like 6 or 7 of them, scoutmaster told me he bought them at academy

Ordered the CBI with swing out. They had the tent listed on their garage sale list for $135. A guy from TW that is actually pretty cool said he has used his tent on the beach about 20 nights with no issues from wind or rain. I figure my hammock will be my main sleeping method and this tent will be in case I have no way to hang it up.

By the time you're done "fixing" that shittybilt trailer, you could've built your own lol

With the money he put into to it...after 6 years plus TVM
Blakes will cost 8,000 and probably still not finished. Damn if he had a nickle from us every time he started a project he would be rich, and still a whole lot of unfinished projects lol
:) Makes me think I should have bought a train set.

Probably so... thought has been in my mind. But again, I want to see one and read some reviews. If it works there would be minimal upgrades to get it to what I was initially planning to build anyhow.

It would be nice to be able to hire a few of those Chinese phuckers to come over here and do the crappy, time consuming crap and you direct and ensure it's executed to your standards.

I just bought my first cheap tent since I was a teenager last week while bored in my hotel room. Cammo 2 person for $29 lol

Also bought a cheap crock pot for $25.

DIY less than a $55 "steam room" here we come.

Caught some Chinese people going though taking pictures and taking notes of our displayed products last week at a trade show. I was about an hr early and caught them lifting up the blanket we used to lay over it the night before. I asked them if they needed help and they immediately started walking away. Scum bags! Get your own products like we did - though trial and error with tons of R&D money. All these scum bags just try to steal products and ideas then knock off the products using substandard processes and materials.

Over the weekend I was on painkillers and awake at 3AM.. I bought 2 knives and a camp axe. lol They arrive today... one of the knives I really like, the other one is 'different' and I have had my eye on the axe for a while... so I sorta see where my narcotic induced brain got the idea to buy at least two of the items. :)

Most of my stuff arrives today. I H8 Amazon, "but" they had the cheapest cheap tent and crock pot to my door. Been wanting to take a good steam and too cheap to get a real steam room. Hopefully I don't :flaming: myself.

How you making out? I'm assuming better......last I read there was still a jig saw in your gut.

Yeah, its more painful than I expected.. assuming its because it got infected. But its getting better.. WFH this week so just taking it easy and hope to be back to 90% normal by the weekend. No heavy lifting for a couple more weeks though.
